Primera Lectura

Isaïes 61: 1-3, 6, 8-9

61:1	L'Esperit del Senyor és sobre mi, perquè el Senyor m'ha ungit. Ell m'ha enviat a portar bones notícies als mansos, per guarir el cor contrit, predicar la clemència als captius i l'alliberament als confinats,
61:2	i així proclamar l'any acceptable del Senyor i el dia de la reivindicació del nostre Déu: per consolar a tots els que estan de dol,
61:3	per agafar els plorats de Sió i donar-los una corona en lloc de cendres, un oli d'alegria en lloc de dol, una capa de lloança en lloc d'un esperit de dolor. I allà, seran anomenats els forts de la justícia, la plantació del Senyor, a la glorificació.
61:6	Però vosaltres mateixos sereu anomenats sacerdots del Senyor. Se us dirà, "Vosaltres sou els ministres del nostre Déu". Menjareu de la força dels gentils, i t'enorgulleixes de la seva glòria.
61:8	Perquè jo sóc el Senyor, que estima el judici i que odia el robatori dins d'un holocausto. I convertiré la seva feina en veritat, i faré una aliança perpètua amb ells.
61:9	I coneixeran la seva descendència entre les nacions, i la seva descendència enmig dels pobles. Tots els qui els veuran els reconeixeran: que aquests són els descendents que el Senyor ha beneït.

Segona Lectura

Revelation 1: 5-8

1:5	and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the leader over the kings of the earth, who has loved us and has washed us from our sins with his blood,
1:6	and who has made us into a kingdom and into priests for God and for his Father. To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amén.
1:7	Heus aquí, he arrives with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall lament for themselves over him. Even so. Amén.
1:8	“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 4: 16-21

4:16	And he went to Nazareth, where he had been raised. And he entered into the synagogue, according to his custom, on the Sabbath day. And he rose up to read.
4:17	And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. And as he unrolled the book, he found the place where it was written:
4:18	“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; a causa d'això, he has anointed me. He has sent me to evangelize the poor, to heal the contrite of heart,
4:19	to preach forgiveness to captives and sight to the blind, to release the broken into forgiveness, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of retribution.”
4:20	And when he had rolled up the book, he returned it to the minister, and he sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.
4:21	Then he began to say to them, “On this day, this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
