Lectura

The Book of the Prophet Isaiah 41: 13-20

41:13	Perquè jo sóc el Senyor, el teu Déu. T'agafo de la mà, i et dic: No tinguis por. T'he ajudat.
41:14	No tinguis por, Oh cuc de Jacob, vosaltres que sou morts dins d'Israel. T'he ajudat, diu el Senyor, el teu Redemptor, el Sant d'Israel.
41:15	T'he establert com un carro de batre nou, amb fulles dentades. Trillareu les muntanyes i les aixafareu. I convertiràs els turons en palla.
41:16	Els aventareu, i el vent se'ls emportarà, i el remolí els escamparà. I us alegrareu en el Senyor; us alegrareu en el Sant d'Israel.
41:17	Els indigents i els pobres busquen aigua, però no n'hi ha cap. La seva llengua s'ha assecat per la set. jo, el Senyor, els farà cas. jo, el Déu d'Israel, no els abandonarà.
41:18	Obriré rius als turons alts, i fonts enmig de les planes. Convertiré el desert en basses d'aigua, i la terra infranquejable en corrents d'aigua.
41:19	Plantaré el cedre en un lloc desert, amb l'espina, i la murta, i l'olivera. Al desert, Plantaré el pi, i l'om, i el boix junts,
41:20	perquè vegin i coneguin, reconèixer i comprendre, junts, que la mà del Senyor ho ha fet, i que el Sant d'Israel l'ha creat.

The Holy Gospel According to Matthew 11: 11-15

11:11	Amen I say to you, among those born of women, there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11:12	But from the days of John the Baptist, fins i tot fins ara, the kingdom of heaven has endured violence, and the violent carry it away.
11:13	For all the prophets and the law prophesied, even until John.
11:14	And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah, who is to come.
11:15	Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
