The Second Letter of Saint Paul to Timothy 1: 1-8

1:1	Pau, un apòstol de Jesucrist per voluntat de Déu, in accord with the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus,
1:2	to Timothy, most beloved son. Grace, mercy, pau, from God the Father and from Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3	I give thanks to God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a pure conscience. For without ceasing I hold the remembrance of you in my prayers, nit i dia,
1:4	desiring to see you, recalling your tears so as to be filled with joy,
1:5	calling to mind the same faith, which is in you unfeigned, which also first dwelt in your grandmother, Lois, and in your mother, Eunice, and also, I am certain, in you.
1:6	A causa d'això, I admonish you to revive the grace of God, which is in you by the imposition of my hands.
1:7	For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of virtue, and of love, and of self-restraint.

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 10: 1-9

10:1	Aleshores, després d'aquestes coses, el Senyor també en va designar setanta-dos més. I els va enviar per parelles davant seu, a cada ciutat i lloc on havia d'arribar.
10:2	I els va dir: “Sens dubte, la collita és gran, però els treballadors són pocs. Per tant, demaneu al Senyor de la sega que enviï treballadors a la seva sega.
10:3	Sortiu. Heus aquí, Us envio com anyells entre llops.
10:4	No trieu portar una bossa, ni disposicions, ni sabates; i no saludareu ningú pel camí.
10:5	A qualsevol casa que hagis entrat, primer dir, 'Pau a aquesta casa'.
10:6	I si hi ha un fill de pau, la teva pau descansarà sobre ell. Però si no, tornarà a tu.
10:7	I romandre a la mateixa casa, menjant i bevent les coses que estan amb ells. Perquè el treballador és digne del seu sou. No trieu passar de casa en casa.
10:8	I a qualsevol ciutat que hagis entrat i t'han rebut, menja el que et posen davant.
10:9	I guarir els malalts que estan en aquell lloc, i proclamar-los, "El Regne de Déu s'ha apropat a tu".
