Lectura

The Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians 2: 12-22

2:12	i que eres tu, en aquell temps, sense Crist, ser estrany a la manera de vida d'Israel, ser visitants del testament, sense esperança de la promesa, i estar sense Déu en aquest món.
2:13	Però ara, en Crist Jesús, vostè, que en temps passats estaven lluny, han estat apropats per la sang de Crist.
2:14	Perquè ell és la nostra pau. Va convertir els dos en un, en dissoldre la paret intermèdia de separació, d'oposició, per la seva carn,
2:15	buidar la llei de manaments per decret, perquè s'unís a aquests dos, en ell mateix, en un home nou, fent les paus
2:16	i reconciliant tots dos amb Déu, en un sol cos, a través de la creu, destruint aquesta oposició en ell mateix.
2:17	I en arribar, va evangelitzar la pau a vosaltres que estaveu lluny, i pau als qui eren a prop.
2:18	Perquè per ell, tots dos tenim accés, en l'únic Esperit, al Pare.
2:19	Ara, per tant, ja no sou visitants i nouvinguts. En canvi, sou ciutadans entre els sants de la casa de Déu,
2:20	havent estat construït sobre els fonaments dels apòstols i dels profetes, amb el mateix Jesucrist com a pedra angular preeminent.
2:21	En ell, tot el que s'ha construït s'emmarca, aixecant-se en un temple sagrat en el Senyor.
2:22	En ell, vosaltres també heu estat construïts junts en una habitació de Déu en l'Esperit.

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 12: 35-38

12:35	Let your waists be girded, and let lamps be burning in your hands.
12:36	And let you yourselves be like men awaiting their lord, when he will return from the wedding; i que, when he arrives and knocks, they may open to him promptly.
12:37	Blessed are those servants whom the Lord, when he returns, will find being vigilant. Amen I say to you, that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, while he, continuing on, will minister to them.
12:38	And if he will return in the second watch, or if in the third watch, and if he will find them to be so: then blessed are those servants.
