Reading

The First Book of Kings 18: 41-46

18:41	And Elijah said to Ahab “Ascend; eat and drink. For there is the sound of an abundance of rain.”
18:42	Ahab ascended, so that he might eat and drink. But Elijah ascended to the top of Carmel, and bending down to the ground, he placed his face between his knees.
18:43	And he said to his servant, “Ascend, and gaze out toward the sea.” And when he had ascended, and had contemplated, povedal, “There is nothing.” And again, he said to him, “Return seven times.”
18:44	And at the seventh time, hľa, a little cloud ascended from the sea like the footstep of a man. A povedal: “Ascend, and say to Ahab, ‘Yoke your chariot, and descend; otherwise, the rain may prevent you.’ ”
18:45	And as he was turning himself this way and that, hľa, the heavens were darkened, and there were clouds and wind, and a great rainstorm occurred. And so Ahab, ísť hore, went away to Jezreel.
18:46	And the hand of the Lord was upon Elijah. And cinching his waist, he ran before Ahab, until he arrived at Jezreel.

The Holy Gospel According to Matthew 5: 20-26

5:22	Ale hovorím vám, že každý, kto sa hnevá na svojho brata, bude podrobený súdu. Ale kto chce, zavolal svojho brata, „Idiot,“ zodpovedá rade. Potom, ktokoľvek ho zavolal, 'Bezcenný,“ bude podliehať pekelným ohňom.
5:23	Preto, ak obetujete svoj dar na oltár, a tam si spomenieš, že tvoj brat má niečo proti tebe,
5:24	nechaj tam svoj dar, pred oltárom, a choď sa najprv zmieriť so svojím bratom, a potom môžete pristúpiť a ponúknuť svoj dar.
5:25	Rýchlo sa zmierte so svojím protivníkom, kým si s ním ešte na ceste, aby ťa snáď protivník nevydal sudcovi, a sudca vás môže vydať úradníkovi, a budeš uvrhnutý do väzenia.
5:26	Amen hovorím vám, že odtiaľ nevyjdete, kým nesplatíte posledný štvrťrok.
