Prvé čítanie

The Acts of the Apostles 2: 1-11

2:1 A keď sa dovŕšili dni Letníc, boli všetci spolu na tom istom mieste.

2:2 A náhle, ozval sa zvuk z neba, ako vietor, ktorý sa prudko blíži, a naplnilo to celý dom, kde sedeli.

2:3 A zjavili sa im oddelené jazyky, ako z ohňa, ktoré sa usadili na každom z nich.

2:4 A všetci boli naplnení Duchom Svätým. A začali hovoriť rôznymi jazykmi, ako im Duch Svätý daroval výrečnosť.

2:5 Teraz boli v Jeruzaleme Židia, zbožných mužov zo všetkých národov, ktoré sú pod nebom.

2:6 A keď sa ozval tento zvuk, zástup sa zišiel a bol v mysli zmätený, pretože ich každý počúval vo svojom vlastnom jazyku.

2:7 Potom boli všetci prekvapení, a čudovali sa, hovorí: „Hľa, nie všetci z nich hovoria Galilejci?

2:8 A ako to, že sme ich každý počuli vo svojom jazyku, do ktorej sme sa narodili?

2:9 Partov, Médov a Elamitov, a tí, ktorí obývajú Mezopotámiu, Judea a Kapadócia, Pontus a Ázia,

2:10 Frýgia a Pamfýlia, Egypt a časti Líbye, ktoré sú okolo Cyrény, a nové príchody Rimanov,

2:11 rovnako Židia a novoobrátení, Kréťania a Arabi: počuli sme ich hovoriť v našich vlastných jazykoch o mocných Božích skutkoch."

Druhé čítanie

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 12: 3-7, 12-13

12:3 Kvôli tomu, I would have you know that no one speaking in the Spirit of God utters a curse against Jesus. And no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.

12:4 Naozaj, there are diverse graces, but the same Spirit.

12:5 And there are diverse ministries, but the same Lord.

12:6 And there are diverse works, but the same God, who works everything in everyone.

12:7 Avšak, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one toward what is beneficial.

12:12 For just as the body is one, and yet has many parts, so all the parts of the body, though they are many, are only one body. So also is Christ.

12:13 A skutočne, in one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether servant or free. And we all drank in the one Spirit.

The Holy Gospel According John 20: 19-23

20:19 Potom, when it was late on the same day, on the first of the Sabbaths, and the doors were closed where the disciples were gathered, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, a povedal im: “Peace to you.”
