First Book of Kings 8: 22-23, 27-30

8:22	Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord, in the sight of the assembly of Israel, and he extended his hands toward heaven.
8:23	Ndipo adati: “Lord God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, nor on the earth below. You preserve covenant and mercy with your servants, who walk before you with all their heart.
8:26	Ndipo tsopano, O Ambuye Mulungu wa Israeli, establish your words, which you spoke to your servant David, bambo anga.
8:27	Is it, ndiye, to be understood that truly God would dwell upon the earth? For if heaven, and the heavens of heavens, are not able to contain you, how much less this house, which I have built?
8:28	Yet look with favor upon the prayer of your servant and upon his petitions, O Ambuye, Mulungu wanga. Listen to the hymn and the prayer, which your servant prays before you this day,
8:29	so that your eyes may be open over this house, usiku ndi usana, over the house about which you said, ‘My name shall be there,’ so that you may heed the prayer that your servant is praying in this place to you.
8:30	So may you heed the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel, whatever they will pray for in this place, and so may you heed them in your dwelling place in heaven. And when you heed, you will be gracious.

Mark 7: 1-13

7:1	Ndi Afarisi ndi alembi ena, kuchokera ku Yerusalemu, adasonkhana pamaso pake.
7:2	Ndipo pamene adawona ena mwa wophunzira ake akudya mkate ndi manja wamba, kuti, ndi manja osasamba, adawanyoza.
7:3	Kwa Afarisi, ndi Ayuda onse, osadya osasamba m'manja mobwerezabwereza, akusunga mwambo wa akulu.
7:4	Ndipo pobwera kuchokera kumsika, pokhapokha ngati asambe, sadya. Ndipo pali zina zambiri zimene zaperekedwa kwa iwo kuti azisunga: kutsuka kwa makapu, ndi mitsuko, ndi zotengera zamkuwa, ndi mabedi.
7:5	Ndipo kotero Afarisi ndi alembi anamfunsa Iye: “N’chifukwa chiyani ophunzira anu satsatira mwambo wa akulu?, koma amadya mkate ndi manja wamba?”
7:6	Koma poyankha, adati kwa iwo: Momwemo Yesaya ananenera bwino za inu onyenga inu, monga kwalembedwa: ‘Anthu awa amandilemekeza ndi milomo yawo, koma mtima wao uli kutali ndi Ine.
7:7	Ndipo andilambira Ine pachabe, kuphunzitsa ziphunzitso ndi malangizo a anthu.’
7:8	Chifukwa chosiya lamulo la Mulungu, musunga mwambo wa anthu, pakutsuka mbiya ndi zikho. Ndipo mumachita zinthu zina zambiri zofanana ndi izi.
7:9	Ndipo adati kwa iwo: “Ndithu, mukuphwanya lamulo la Mulungu, kuti musunge mwambo wanu.
7:10	Pakuti Mose anati: ‘Lemekeza atate wako ndi amako,' ndi, ‘Aliyense amene watemberera bambo kapena mayi, amuleke afe.’
7:11	Koma inu mukuti, ‘Ngati munthu akanena kwa atate wake kapena amayi ake: Wozunzidwa, (umene uli mphatso) Chilichonse chochokera kwa Ine chidzakhala Chaphindu kwa inu,'
7:12	ndipo simummasula kuti achitire atate wake kapena amake kanthu,
7:13	ndi kupasula mawu a Mulungu mwa mwambo wanu, zomwe mwapereka. Ndipo mumachita zinthu zinanso zofanana ndi izi. ”
