Machitidwe a Atumwi 10: 25-26, 34-35, 44-48

10:46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and magnifying God.

10:47 Then Peter responded, “How could anyone prohibit water, so that those who have received the Holy Spirit would not be baptized, just as we also have been?”

10:48 And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they begged him to remain with them for some days.

The First Letter of Saint John 4: 7-10

4:7 Okondedwa kwambiri, tikondane wina ndi mzake. Pakuti chikondi chichokera kwa Mulungu. Ndipo yense amene akonda, abadwa mwa Mulungu, nazindikira Mulungu.

4:8 Amene sakonda, sadziwa Mulungu. Pakuti Mulungu ndiye chikondi.

4:9 Chikondi cha Mulungu chinaonekera kwa ife mwanjira imeneyi: kuti Mulungu anatumiza Mwana wake wobadwa yekha padziko lapansi, kuti tikhale ndi moyo mwa iye.

4:10 M’menemo muli chikondi: osati monga tidakonda Mulungu, koma kuti Iye anayamba kutikonda, ndipo chotero anatumiza Mwana wake monga chiwombolo cha machimo athu.

15:9 Monga Atate wandikonda Ine, choncho ndakukondani. Khalani m'chikondi changa.

15:10 Ngati musunga malangizo anga, mudzakhala m’cikondi canga, monganso ine ndasunga malangizo a Atate wanga, ndipo ndikhala m’chikondi chake.

15:11 Zinthu izi ndalankhula ndi inu, kuti chimwemwe changa chikhale mwa inu, ndipo chimwemwe chanu chikwaniritsidwe.

15:12 Ili ndi lamulo langa: kuti mukondane wina ndi mzake, monga ndakonda inu.

15:13 Palibe amene ali ndi chikondi choposa ichi: kuti ataya moyo wake chifukwa cha abwenzi ake.

15:14 Inu ndinu abwenzi anga, ngati muchita chimene ndikulangizani.

15:15 sindidzakutchaninso akapolo, pakuti kapolo sadziwa chimene Mbuye wake achita. Koma ndakutchani abwenzi, chifukwa zonse zimene ndazimva kwa Atate wanga, ndakudziwitsani.

15:16 Simunandisankha, koma ndinakusankhani. Ndipo ndakuikani, kuti mutuluke ndi kubala zipatso, ndi kuti chipatso chanu chikhale chikhalire. Ndiye chimene mwapempha kwa Atate m'dzina langa, adzakupatsa.

15:17 Ichi ndikulamulira iwe: kuti mukondane wina ndi mzake.
