Kuwerenga Koyamba

The Book of the Prophet Jonah 3: 1-10

3:1 Ndipo mau a Yehova anadza kwa Yona kachiwiri, kunena:
3:2 Dzuka, ndi kupita ku Nineve, mzinda waukuluwo. Ndipo lalikira m’menemo ulaliki umene Ine ndikuwuza iwe.
3:3 Ndipo Yona ananyamuka, ndipo anapita ku Nineve monga mwa mau a Yehova. Ndipo Nineve unali mzinda waukulu wa ulendo wa masiku atatu.
3:4 Ndipo Yona anayamba kulowa mumzindawo ulendo wa tsiku limodzi. Ndipo anapfuula nati, “Kwatsala masiku makumi anayi ndipo Nineve adzawonongedwa.”
3:5 Ndipo anthu a ku Nineve anakhulupirira Mulungu. Ndipo adalalikira kusala kudya, nabvala ziguduli, kuyambira wamkulu kufikira wamng’ono.
3:6 Ndipo mawu anafika kwa mfumu ya ku Nineve. Ndipo adanyamuka pampando wake wachifumu, ndipo anavula mkanjo wake navala chiguduli, ndipo anakhala m’phulusa.
3:7 Ndipo iye anafuula nanena: “Ku Nineve, pakamwa pa mfumu ndi akalonga ake, zinenedwe: Anthu, nyama, ng’ombe, nkhosa, zisalawe kanthu. Asadye kapena kumwa madzi.
3:8 + Anthu ndi nyama zivale ziguduli, ndipo afuulire kwa Yehova ndi mphamvu, ndipo munthu atembenuke kusiya njira yake yoipa, ndi mphulupulu iri m’manja mwao.
3:9 Ndani akudziwa ngati Mulungu angatembenukire ndi kukhululuka?, ndi kubweza ku mkwiyo wace waukali, kuti tisatayike?”
3:10 Ndipo Mulungu adaona ntchito zawo, kuti adatembenuzidwa kusiya njira zawo zoipa. Ndipo Mulungu adawamvera chisoni, za choipa chimene adanena kuti adzawachitira, ndipo sanachichita.

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 7: 29-31

7:29 Ndipo kenako, this is what I say, abale: The time is short. What remains of it is such that: those who have wives should be as if they had none;
7:30 and those who weep, as though they were not weeping; and those who rejoice, as if they were not rejoicing; and those who buy, as if they possessed nothing;
7:31 and those who use the things of this world, as if they were not using them. For the figure of this world is passing away.

1:14 Ndiye, after John was handed over, Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,
1:15 ndi kunena: “For the time has been fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
1:16 And passing by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew, casting nets into the sea, for they were fishermen.
1:17 Ndipo Yesu adati kwa iwo, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
1:18 And at once abandoning their nets, adamtsata Iye.
1:19 And continuing on a little ways from there, he saw James of Zebedee and his brother John, and they were mending their nets in a boat.
1:20 And immediately he called them. And leaving behind their father Zebedee in the boat with his hired hands, adamtsata Iye.
