አንደኛ ዮሐንስ 2: 22- 28
| 2:22 | Who is a liar, other than he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This one is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. |
| 2:23 | No one who denies the Son also has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son, also has the Father. |
| 2:24 | አንተን በተመለከተ, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you, እንዲሁም, shall abide in the Son and in the Father. |
| 2:25 | And this is the Promise, which he himself has promised to us: የዘላለም ሕይወት. |
| 2:26 | I have written these things to you, because of those who would seduce you. |
| 2:27 | ግን እናንተን በተመለከተ, let the Anointing that you have received from him abide in you. እናም, you have no need of anyone to teach you. For his Anointing teaches you about everything, and it is the truth, and it is not a lie. And just as his Anointing has taught you, abide in him. |
| 2:28 | አና አሁን, little sons, abide in him, so that when he appears, we may have faith, and we may not be confounded by him at his advent. |
ዮሐንስ 1: 19- 28
| 1:19 | የዮሐንስ ምስክርነትም ይህ ነው።, አይሁድ ካህናትንና ሌዋውያንን ከኢየሩሳሌም ወደ እርሱ በላኩ ጊዜ, ብለው ይጠይቁት ዘንድ, "ማነህ?” |
| 1:20 | እርሱም ተናዞ አልካደውም።; የተናዘዘውም ሆነ: "እኔ ክርስቶስ አይደለሁም" |
| 1:21 | ብለው ጠየቁት።: “ታዲያ አንተ ምን ነህ? ኤልያስ ነህ?” ሲል ተናግሯል።, "አይደለሁም." “አንተ ነቢዩ ነህ?” ብሎ መለሰ, "አይ." |
| 1:22 | ስለዚህ, አሉት: "ማነህ, ለላኩን መልስ እንሰጥ ዘንድ? ስለራስዎ ምን ይላሉ?” |
| 1:23 | አለ, " እኔ በምድረ በዳ የሚጮኽ ድምፅ ነኝ, ‘የጌታን መንገድ አቅኑ,ነቢዩ ኢሳይያስ እንዳለ። |
| 1:24 | ከተላኩትም አንዳንዶቹ ከፈሪሳውያን ወገን ነበሩ።. |
| 1:25 | ብለው ጠየቁት፥ እንዲህም አሉት, “ታዲያ ለምን ታጠምቃለህ, እናንተ ክርስቶስ ካልሆናችሁ, እና ኤልያስ አይደለም, ነቢዩም አይደሉም?” |
| 1:26 | ዮሐንስም እንዲህ ሲል መለሰላቸው: “እኔ በውኃ አጠምቃለሁ።. በመካከላችሁ ግን አንድ ቆሟል, የማታውቁት. |
| 1:27 | ከእኔ በኋላ የሚመጣው እርሱ ነው።, ከእኔ በፊት የተቀመጠው, የጫማውን ማሰሪያ ልፈታ የማይገባኝ ነው። |
| 1:28 | እነዚህ ነገሮች በቢታንያ ተከሰቱ, በዮርዳኖስ ማዶ, ዮሐንስ ያጠምቅበት ነበር።. |
