Bhuku raNumeri 21: 4-9

21:4	Vakabva vasimuka paGomo reHori, nenzira inoenda kuGungwa Dzvuku, kupoteredza nyika yeEdhomu. Uye vanhu vakatanga kuneta nerwendo rwavo uye nekuomerwa.
21:5	Uye vachipopotera Mwari naMosesi, vakati: “Makatibudisireiko muIjipiti?, zvekufira murenje? Chingwa chinoshaikwa; hakuna mvura. Mweya yedu yave kusvotwa nechikafu chakareruka ichi.”
21:6	Nokuda kwechikonzero ichi, Jehovha akatuma nyoka dzinopenga pakati pavanhu, izvo zvakakuvadza kana kuuraya vazhinji vavo.
21:7	Saka vakaenda kuna Mozisi, ivo vakati: “Takatadza, nekuti takapopotera Jehovha nemi. Namata, kuti atore nyoka idzi kwatiri. Mozisi akanyengeterera vanhu.
21:8	Jehovha akati kwaari: “Gadzira nyoka yendarira, woiisa sechiratidzo. Ani nani, arohwa, anoritarira, achararama.”
21:9	Naizvozvo, Mozisi akaita nyoka yendarira, akariisa sechiratidzo. Vaya vakanga varohwa vakaritarisa, vakaporeswa.

Vhangeri Dzvene Maererano naJohani 8: 21-30

8:21	Naizvozvo, Jesus again spoke to them: “I am going, and you shall seek me. And you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you are not able to go.”
8:22	And so the Jews said, “Is he going to kill himself, nokuti akati: ‘Kwandiri kuenda, haukwanisi kuenda?’”
8:23	Iye akati kwavari: “You are from below. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
8:24	Naizvozvo, Ndati kwauri, that you will die in your sins. For if you will not believe that I am, you will die in your sin.”
8:25	Saka vakati kwaari, "Ndiwe ani?” Jesus said to them: “The Beginning, who is also speaking to you.
8:26	I have much to say about you and to judge. But he who sent me is true. And what I have heard from him, this I speak within the world.”
8:27	And they did not realize that he was calling God his Father.
8:28	And so Jesus said to them: “When you will have lifted up the Son of man, then you shall realize that I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but just as the Father has taught me, so do I speak.
8:29	And he who sent me is with me, and he has not abandoned me alone. For I always do what is pleasing to him.”
8:30	As he was speaking these things, many believed in him.
