Branje

Nahum 2: 1, 3: 1-3, 6-7

2:1 On se povzpne, ki bi ti pred očmi trosil, ki bi vzdrževal blokado. Razmislite o poti, utrdite hrbet, močno krepi vrlino.

3:1 Gorje mestu krvi, poln vseh vrst laži in nasilja. Zločin ne bo odšel od vas:

3:2 glas biča, in glas vrtečih se koles, in sosednjega konja, in goreči voz, in konjeniki, ki jezdijo,

3:3 in bleščečega meča in bleščeče sulice, in množice usmrčenih in hudega uničenja. Tudi trupel ni konca, in padli bodo na svoja mrtva telesa.

3:6 In nadte bom vrgel gnusobe, in jaz te bom trpinčil, in iz tebe bom naredil zgled.

3:7 In to bo: vsi, ki te vidijo, se bo odvrnil od tebe, in rekel bo: "Ninive so bile opustošene." Kdo bo zmajeval z glavo nad teboj? Kje naj iščem tolažbo za vas?

Matej 16: 24-28

16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “If anyone is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

16:25 For whoever would save his life, ga bo izgubil. But whoever will have lost his life for my sake, shall find it.

16:26 For how does it benefit a man, if he gains the whole world, yet truly suffers damage to his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

16:27 For the Son of man will arrive in the glory of his Father, with his Angels. And then he will repay each one according to his works.

16:28 Amen vam pravim, there are some among those standing here, who shall not taste death, until they see the Son of man arriving in his reign.”
