The Acts of Apostles 2: 14, 22-33

2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and he spoke to them: “Men of Judea, and all those who are staying in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and incline your ears to my words.
2:22 Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazarene is a man confirmed by God among you through the miracles and wonders and signs that God accomplished through him in your midst, just as you also know.
2:23 Ta moški, under the definitive plan and foreknowledge of God, was delivered by the hands of the unjust, afflicted, and put to death.
2:24 And he whom God has raised up has broken the sorrows of Hell, for certainly it was impossible for him to be held by it.
2:25 For David said about him: ‘I foresaw the Lord always in my sight, for he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved.
2:26 Zaradi tega, my heart has rejoiced, and my tongue has exulted. Poleg tega, my flesh shall also rest in hope.
2:27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.
2:28 You have made known to me the ways of life. You will completely fill me with happiness by your presence.’
2:29 Plemeniti bratje, permit me to speak freely to you about the Patriarch David: for he passed away and was buried, and his sepulcher is with us, even to this very day.
2:30 Zato, he was a prophet, for he knew that God had sworn an oath to him about the fruit of his loins, about the One who would sit upon his throne.
2:31 Predvidevanje tega, he was speaking about the Resurrection of the Christ. For he was neither left behind in Hell, nor did his flesh see corruption.
2:32 This Jesus, God raised up again, and of this we are all witnesses.
2:33 Zato, being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the Promise of the Holy Spirit, he poured this out, just as you now see and hear.

First Letter of Peter 1: 17-21

1:20 vnaprej znano, seveda, pred ustanovitvijo sveta, in razodeto v teh zadnjih časih zaradi vas.

1:21 Skozi njega, bil si zvest Bogu, ki ga je obudil od mrtvih in mu dal slavo, da bi bila vaša vera in upanje v Boga.

24:19 In rekel jim je, “What things?” And they said, “About Jesus of Nazareth, who was a noble prophet, powerful in works and in words, before God and all the people.
24:20 And how our high priests and leaders handed him over to be condemned to death. And they crucified him.
24:21 But we were hoping that he would be the Redeemer of Israel. In zdaj, on top of all this, today is the third day since these things have happened.
24:22 Potem, preveč, certain women from among us terrified us. For before daytime, they were at the tomb,
24:23 in, having not found his body, they returned, saying that they had even seen a vision of Angels, who said that he is alive.
24:24 And some of us went out to the tomb. And they found it just as the women had said. Ampak resnično, they did not find him.”
24:25 In rekel jim je: “How foolish and reluctant in heart you are, to believe everything that has been spoken by the Prophets!
24:26 Was not the Christ required to suffer these things, and so enter into his glory?”
24:27 And beginning from Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted for them, in all the Scriptures, the things that were about him.
24:28 And they drew near to the town where they were going. And he conducted himself so as to go on further.

24:32 In rekli so drug drugemu, “Was not our heart burning within us, while he was speaking on the way, and when he opened the Scriptures to us?”
24:33 And rising up at that same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,
24:34 govoriti: “In truth, the Lord has risen, and he has appeared to Simon.”
24:35 And they explained the things that were done on the way, and how they had recognized him at the breaking of the bread.
