Għalhekk, what God has joined together, let no man separate.” |

U għal darb'oħra, in the house, his disciples questioned him about the same thing. |

U qalilhom: “Whoever dismisses his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her. |
| 10:12 |
And if a wife dismisses her husband, and is married to another, she commits adultery.” |
| 10:13 |
And they brought to him the little children, so that he might touch them. But the disciples admonished those who brought them. |
| 10:14 |
But when Jesus saw this, he took offense, u qalilhom: “Allow the little ones to come to me, and do not prohibit them. For of such as these is the kingdom of God. |

Amen ngħidilkom, whoever will not accept the kingdom of God like a little child, will not enter into it.” |

U meta kien telaq fit-triq, ċerta waħda, tiġri u tinżel quddiemu, staqsieh, “Għalliem Tajjeb, x'għandi nagħmel, sabiex nassigura l-ħajja ta’ dejjem?” |

Imma Ġesù qallu, “Għaliex sejjaħli tajjeb? Ħadd mhu tajjeb ħlief Alla wieħed. |
| 10:19 |
Inti taf il-preċetti: “Tagħmlux adulterju. Toqtolx. Tisraqx. Tkellimx xhieda falza. Tqarraqx. Onora lil missierek u lil ommok.” |
| 10:20 |
Iżda bi tweġiba, qallu, “Għalliem, dawn kollha osservajt sa minn żgħożiti.” |
| 10:21 |
Imbagħad Ġesù, iħares lejh, ħabbtu, u qallu: “Ħaġa waħda hija nieqsa għalik. Mur, ibigħ dak kollu li għandek, u agħti lill-foqra, u allura jkollok teżor fis-sema. U ejja, imxi warajja." |

Imma mar imnikket, wara li ddejjaq bil-kbir bil-kelma. Għax kellu ħafna ġid. |

U Ġesù, tħares madwar, qal lid-dixxipli tiegħu, “Kemm hu diffiċli għal dawk li għandhom l-għana li jidħlu fis-saltna t’Alla!” |
| 10:24 |
U d-dixxipli baqgħu mistagħġbin bi kliemu. Imma Ġesù, wieġeb mill-ġdid, qalilhom: “Ulied żgħar, kemm hu diffiċli għal min jafda fil-flus biex jidħol fis-saltna ta’ Alla! |
| 10:25 |
Huwa aktar faċli li ġemel jgħaddi minn għajn ta' labra, milli biex l-għonja jidħlu fis-saltna ta’ Alla.” |
| 10:26 |
U staqsew saħansitra aktar, jgħidu bejniethom, “Min, imbagħad, jistgħu jiġu salvati?” |
| 10:27 |
U Ġesù, iħares lejhom, qal: “Bl-irġiel huwa impossibbli; imma mhux ma’ Alla. Għax għal Alla kollox hu possibbli.” |
| 10:28 |
U Pietru beda jgħidlu, “Ara, ħallejna kollox u mxejna warajk.” |
| 10:29 |
Bi tweġiba, Ġesù qal: “Amen ngħidilkom, M'hemm ħadd li ħalla warajh id-dar, jew aħwa, jew sorijiet, jew missier, jew omm, jew tfal, jew art, għal ġid tiegħi u għall-Vanġelu, |
| 10:30 |
li mhux se jirċievi mitt darba daqshekk, issa f'dan iż-żmien: djar, u aħwa, u sorijiet, u ommijiet, u t-tfal, u art, bil-persekuzzjonijiet, u fl-età futura ħajja eterna. |
| 10:31 |
But many of the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.” |
| 10:32 |
Now they were on the way ascending to Jerusalem. And Jesus went ahead of them, and they were astonished. And those following him were afraid. U għal darb'oħra, taking aside the twelve, he began to tell them what was about to happen to him. |

“For behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be handed over to the leaders of the priests, and to the scribes, and the elders. And they will condemn him to death, and they will hand him over to the Gentiles. |

And they will mock him, and spit on him, and scourge him, and put him to death. U fit-tielet jum, he will rise again.” |

U Ġakbu u Ġwanni, ulied Żebedew, resaq lejh, qal, “Għalliem, nawguraw li kull ma nitolbu, int tagħmel għalina.” |

Imma qalilhom, “Xi tridni nagħmel għalik?” |

U qalu, “Agħtina biex inpoġġu, wieħed fuq il-lemin tiegħek u l-ieħor fuq ix-xellug tiegħek, fil-glorja tiegħek.” |
| 10:38 |
Imma Ġesù qalilhom: “Ma tafx x’qed titlob. Inti kapaċi tixrob mill-kalċi li minnu nixrob, jew li nitgħammed bil-magħmudija li biha għandi nitgħammed?” |
| 10:39 |
Imma qalulu, "Nistaw." Imbagħad Ġesù qalilhom: "Tabilħaqq, għandek tixrob mill-kalċi, li minnha nixrob; u tkunu mgħammdin bil-magħmudija, li biha għandi nitgħammed. |
| 10:40 |
Imma noqgħod fuq il-lemin tiegħi, jew fuq ix-xellug tiegħi, mhux tiegħi li nagħtikom, imma hija għal dawk li għalihom ġiet ippreparata.” |
| 10:41 |
U l-għaxra, malli tisma’ dan, bdew jindenjaw lejn Ġakbu u Ġwanni. |
| 10:42 |
Imma Ġesù, isejħilhom, qalilhom: “Intom tafu li dawk li jidhru li huma mexxejja fost il-Ġentili jiddominawhom, u l-mexxejja tagħhom jeżerċitaw awtorità fuqhom. |
| 10:43 |
Imma m’għandux ikun hekk fostkom. Minflok, min irid isir akbar ikun il-ministru tiegħek; |
| 10:44 |
u min ikun l-ewwel fostkom ikun il-qaddej ta’ kulħadd. |
| 10:45 |
Allura, wisq, Bin il-bniedem ma ġiex biex jaqduh, imma biex jaqdi u jagħti ħajtu bħala fidwa għal ħafna.” |

And they went to Jericho. And as he was setting out from Jericho with his disciples and a very numerous multitude, Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, a blind man, sat begging beside the way. |

And when he had heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and to say, “Jesus, Bin David, take pity on me.” |
| 10:48 |
And many admonished him to be quiet. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, take pity on me.” |
| 10:49 |
U Ġesù, standing still, instructed him to be called. And they called the blind man, qallu: “Be at peace. Arise. He is calling you.” |

And casting aside his garment, he leapt up and went to him. |
| 10:51 |
U bi tweġiba, Ġesù qallu, "Xi trid, that I should do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Mastru, that I may see.” |
| 10:52 |
Then Jesus said to him, “Mur, your faith has made you whole.” And immediately he saw, and he followed him on the way. |
