Qari

L-Għanja ta’ Salamun 3: 1-4

3:1 Bride: On my bed, throughout the night, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, and did not find him.

3:2 I will rise up, and I will circle through the city. Through the side streets and thoroughfares, I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, and did not find him.

3:3 The watchers who guard the city found me: “Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”

3:4 When I had passed by them a little, I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not release him, until I would bring him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her who bore me.

It-Tieni Qari

The Book of the Prophet Micah 7: 14-15, 18-20

7:14 With your rod, pasture your people, the flock of your inheritance, living alone in the narrow forest, in the midst of Carmel. They will graze in Bashan and Gilead, as in the ancient days.
7:15 As in the days of your departure from the land of Egypt, I will reveal miracles to him.
7:18 What God is like you, who takes away iniquity and passes over the sin of the remnant of your inheritance? No longer will he send forth his fury, because he is willing to be merciful.
7:19 He will turn back and have mercy on us. He will put away our iniquities, and he will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
7:20 You will give the truth to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, which you swore to our fathers from the ancient days.

Evanġelju

John 20: 1-2, 11-18

20:1 Imbagħad fl-ewwel Sabbath, Marija ta’ Magdala marret kmieni l-qabar, waqt li kien għadu dlam, u rat li l-ġebla kienet tkeċċiet mill-qabar.

20:2 Għalhekk, ġriet u marret għand Xmun Pietru, u lid-dixxiplu l-ieħor, li Ġesù ħabb, u qaltilhom, “Ħadu lill-Mulej mill-qabar, u ma nafux fejn poġġewh.”

20:11 But Mary was standing outside the tomb, weeping. Imbagħad, while she was weeping, she bowed down and gazed into the tomb.

20:12 And she saw two Angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been placed, one at the head, and one at the feet.

20:13 They say to her, “Mara, għaliex qed tibki?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have placed him.”

20:14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

20:15 Jesus said to her: “Mara, għaliex qed tibki? Who are you seeking?” Considering that it was the gardener, qalet lilu, “Sir, if you have moved him, tell me where you have placed him, and I will take him away.”

20:16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” And turning, qalet lilu, “Rabboni!” (li jfisser, Teacher).

20:17 Jesus said to her: “Do not touch me. For I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brothers and tell them: ‘I am ascending to my Father and to your Father, to my God and to your God.’ ”

20:18 Mary Magdalene went, announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord, and these are the things that he said to me.”
