The B00k of the Prophet Hosea 11: 1, 3-4, 8-9

1:1	The word of the Lord that came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel.
1:3	And he went out and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived and bore him a son.
1:4	U l-Mulej qallu: “Call his name Jezreel because, after a little while, I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and I will put the kingdom of the house of Israel to rest.
1:5	And in that day, I will crush the stronghold of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”
1:8	And she weaned her, who was called Without Mercy. And she conceived and bore a son.
1:9	U qal: “Call his name, Not My People, for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.

Mattew 5: 27-32

5:27 Smajtu li kien qal lill-qedem: ‘La tagħmlu adulterju.’

5:28 Imma ngħidlek, li kull min se jkun ħares lejn mara, sabiex ixxennqu warajha, diġà wettaq adulterju magħha f’qalbu.

5:29 U jekk għajnejk il-leminija jġiegħlek idnub, għeruqha u warrabha minnek. Għax huwa aħjar għalik li wieħed mill-membri tiegħek jitħassar, milli li ġismek kollu jiġi mitfugħ fl-Infern.

5:30 U jekk idek il-leminija ġġiegħlek idnub, aqtagħha u warrabha minnek. Għax huwa aħjar għalik li wieħed mill-membri tiegħek jitħassar, milli li ġismek kollu jidħol fl-Infern.

5:31 U ntqal: ‘Min kien ikeċċi lil martu, ħallih jagħtiha polza tad-divorzju.’

5:32 Imma ngħidlek, li kull min se jkun keċċa lil martu, ħlief fil-każ taż-żína, iġiegħelha tagħmel adulterju; u min ikun iżżewweġ lil dik li ġiet imkeċċija jagħmel adulterju.
