Isaija 55: 10-11

55:10	U bl-istess mod kif jinżlu x-xita u l-borra mis-sema, u ma jibqax lura hemm, imma xarrab l-art, u ilmaha, u jġiegħlu jiffjorixxi u jipprovdi żerriegħa lil min jiżra’ u ħobż lil min hu bil-ġuħ,
55:11	hekk ukoll tkun il-kelma tiegħi, li se toħroġ minn fommi. Mhux se terġa’ lura għandi vojta, imma se twettaq dak kollu li rrid, u jirnexxi fil-ħidmiet li għalihom bgħattha.

L-Evanġelju Qaddis Skont Mattew 6: 7-15

6:7	And when praying, do not choose many words, as the pagans do. For they think that by their excess of words they might be heeded.
6:8	Għalhekk, do not choose to imitate them. For your Father knows what your needs may be, even before you ask him.
6:9	Għalhekk, you shall pray in this way: Our Father, min hu fis-sema: May your name be kept holy.
6:10	May your kingdom come. May your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth.
6:11	Give us this day our life-sustaining bread.
6:12	And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
6:13	And lead us not into temptation. But free us from evil. Amen.
6:14	For if you will forgive men their sins, your heavenly Father also will forgive you your offenses.
6:15	But if you will not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your sins.
