L-Ewwel Qari

 

L-Atti tal-Appostli 10: 25-26, 34-35, 44-48

10:25 U ġara hekk, when Peter had entered, Cornelius went to meet him. And falling before his feet, he reverenced.

10:26 Iżda tassew, Pietru, lifting him up, qal: “Qum, for I also am only a man.”

10:34 Imbagħad, Pietru, jiftaħ ħalqu, qal: “Kkonkludejt fil-​verità li Alla mhux jirrispetta l-​persuni.

10:35 But within every nation, whoever fears him and works justice is acceptable to him.

10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell over all of those who were listening to the Word.

10:45 And the faithful of the circumcision, who had arrived with Peter, were astonished that the grace of the Holy Spirit was also poured out upon the Gentiles.

10:46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and magnifying God.

10:47 Then Peter responded, “How could anyone prohibit water, so that those who have received the Holy Spirit would not be baptized, just as we also have been?”

10:48 And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they begged him to remain with them for some days.

 

It-Tieni Qari

The First Letter of Saint John 4: 7-10

4:7 Most beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.

4:9 The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

4:10 In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.

L-Evanġelju Qaddis Skont Ġwanni 15: 9-17

15:9 Kif ħabbni l-Missier, hekk ħabbejtkom. Ibqa’ fl-imħabba tiegħi.

15:10 Jekk iżżomm il-preċetti tiegħi, inti tibqa 'fl-imħabba tiegħi, bħalma jien ukoll żammejt il-preċetti ta’ Missieri u nibqa’ fl-imħabba tiegħu.

15:11 Dawn l-affarijiet kellimtkom, sabiex il-ferħ tiegħi jkun fik, u l-ferħ tiegħek jista’ jitwettaq.

15:12 Dan hu l-preċett tiegħi: li tħobbu lil xulxin, bħalma ħabbejtek.

15:13 Ħadd m’għandu mħabba akbar minn din: li jagħti ħajtu għal sħabu.

15:14 Intom ħbieb tiegħi, jekk tagħmel dak li ngħallimkom.

15:15 Mhux se nibqa’ nsejjaħkom qaddejja, għax il-qaddej ma jafx x’qed jagħmel il-Mulej tiegħu. Imma sejjaħtkom ħbieb, għax dak kollu li smajt mingħand Missieri, Jien għarraftilkom.

15:16 Inti ma għażiltx lili, imma jien għażiltkom. U jien ħatretek, sabiex toħorġu u tagħti l-frott, u biex il-frott tiegħek idum. Imbagħad kulma tlabtu mill-Missier f’ismi, hu għandu jagħti lilek.

15:17 Dan jien nikkmandak: li tħobbu lil xulxin.
