The Letter of Saint Paul to the Galatians 5: 18-25

5:18	But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
5:19	Now the works of the flesh are manifest; they are: żína, lust, omosesswalità, self-indulgence,
5:20	the serving of idols, drug use, hostility, contentiousness, jealousy, wrath, quarrels, dissensions, divisions,
5:21	għira, qtil, inebriation, carousing, and similar things. About these things, I continue to preach to you, as I have preached to you: that those who act in this way shall not obtain the kingdom of God.
5:22	But the fruit of the Spirit is charity, joy, paċi, patience, kindness, goodness, forbearance,
5:23	meekness, fidi, modesty, abstinence, chastity. There is no law against such things.
5:24	For those who are Christ’s have crucified their flesh, along with its vices and desires.
5:25	If we live by the Spirit, we should also walk by the Spirit.

L-Evanġelju Qaddis Skont Luqa 11: 42-46

11:42	Imma gwaj għalik, Fariżej! Għalik tithe mint u rude u kull ħaxix, imma int tinjora l-ġudizzju u l-karità ta’ Alla. Imma dawn l-affarijiet kellek għamilt, mingħajr ma tħalli barra l-oħrajn.
11:43	Woe għalik, Fariżej! Għax intom tħobbu l-ewwel siġġijiet fis-sinagogi, u tislijiet fis-suq.
11:44	Woe għalik! Għax intom bħal oqbra li ma jidhrux, biex il-bnedmin jimxu fuqhom mingħajr ma jindunaw.”
11:45	Imbagħad wieħed mill-esperti fil-liġi, bi tweġiba, qallu, “Għalliem, meta tgħid dawn l-affarijiet, int iġġib insult kontra tagħna wkoll.”
11:46	Hekk qal: “U gwaj għalikom esperti fil-liġi! Għax intom tiżżnu lill-irġiel b’piżijiet li ma jistgħux iġorru, imma intom infuskom ma tmissux il-piż lanqas b'wieħed minn subgħajk.
