කියවීම

The First Book of Kings 18: 41-46

18:41	And Elijah said to Ahab “Ascend; eat and drink. For there is the sound of an abundance of rain.”
18:42	Ahab ascended, so that he might eat and drink. But Elijah ascended to the top of Carmel, and bending down to the ground, he placed his face between his knees.
18:43	And he said to his servant, “Ascend, and gaze out toward the sea.” And when he had ascended, and had contemplated, ඔහු කිව්වා, “There is nothing.” And again, ඔහු ඔහුට කීවේය, “Return seven times.”
18:44	And at the seventh time, බලන්න, a little cloud ascended from the sea like the footstep of a man. ඒ වගේම ඔහු කිව්වා: “Ascend, and say to Ahab, ‘Yoke your chariot, and descend; නොඑසේ නම්, the rain may prevent you.’ ”
18:45	And as he was turning himself this way and that, බලන්න, the heavens were darkened, and there were clouds and wind, and a great rainstorm occurred. And so Ahab, ඉහළ යනවා, went away to Jezreel.
18:46	And the hand of the Lord was upon Elijah. And cinching his waist, he ran before Ahab, until he arrived at Jezreel.

ශුභාරංචිය

මතෙව්ට අනුව ශුද්ධ වූ ශුභාරංචිය 5: 20-26

5:20	මන්ද මම ඔබට කියමි, ඔබේ යුක්තිය ලියන්නන්ගේ සහ පරිසිවරුන්ගේ යුක්තිය ඉක්මවා නොගියහොත් ඔබ ස්වර්ග රාජ්‍යයට ඇතුළු නොවන්නහුය.
5:21	පැරැන්නන්ට කීවා යැයි ඔබ අසා ඇත: ‘මිනී නොමරන්න; කවුරුන් හෝ මිනීමැරුවා නම් ඔහු විනිශ්චයට යටත් වනු ඇත.
5:22	නමුත් මම ඔබට කියමි, තම සහෝදරයා සමඟ කෝප වන ඕනෑම කෙනෙකුට විනිශ්චයට යටත් වනු ඇත. නමුත් කවුරුන් හෝ තම සහෝදරයා කැඳවනු ඇත, 'මෝඩයෙක්,' සභාවට වග කිව යුතුය. ඉන්පසු, කවුරුන් හෝ ඔහුව කැඳවනු ඇත, 'වැදගත්කමක් නැහැ,නිරයේ ගින්නට යටත් වනු ඇත.
5:23	එබැවින්, ඔබ පූජාසනය මත ඔබේ තෑග්ග පිරිනමන්නේ නම්, එහිදී ඔබට මතකයි ඔබේ සහෝදරයාට ඔබට විරුද්ධව යමක් ඇති බව,
5:24	ඔබේ තෑග්ග එහි තබන්න, පූජාසනය ඉදිරිපිට, ඔබේ සහෝදරයා සමඟ සමාදාන වීමට පළමුව යන්න, එවිට ඔබට ළං වී ඔබේ තෑග්ග පිරිනැමිය හැක.
5:25	ඔබේ විරුද්ධවාදියා සමඟ ඉක්මනින් සමාදාන වන්න, ඔබ තවමත් ඔහු සමඟ ගමන් කරන අතරතුර, සමහරවිට විරුද්ධකාරයා ඔබව විනිශ්චයකරුට භාර දෙනු ඇත, විනිශ්චයකරුට ඔබව නිලධාරියාට භාර දිය හැක, එවිට ඔබ සිරගෙට දමනු ලැබේ.
5:26	ආමෙන් මම ඔබට කියමි, ඔබ එතැනින් පිටතට නොයන්න, ඔබ අවසන් කාර්තුව ආපසු ගෙවන තුරු.
