Second Letter to the Corinthians 1: 1- 7

1:1 Paolo, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy, un fratello, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all of Achaia:

1:2 Grazia e pace a voi da Dio nostro Padre e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.

1:3 Benedetto sia Dio e Padre del nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation.

1:4 He consoles us in all our tribulation, so that we too may be able to console those who are in any kind of distress, through the exhortation by which we also are being exhorted by God.

1:5 For just as the Passion of Christ abounds in us, so also, through Christ, does our consolation abound.

1:6 COSÌ, if we are in tribulation, it is for your exhortation and salvation, or if we are in consolation, it is for your consolation, or if we are exhorted, it is for your exhortation and salvation, which results in the patience endurance of the same passion which we also endure.

1:7 So may our hope for you be made firm, knowing that, just as you are participants in the suffering, so also shall you be participants in the consolation.

Matteo 5: 1-12

5:1	Poi, vedere la folla, salì sulla montagna, e quando si fu seduto, i suoi discepoli si avvicinarono a lui,
5:2	e aprendo la bocca, ha insegnato loro, detto:
5:3	“Beati i poveri in spirito, perché di essi è il regno dei cieli.
5:4	Beati i miti, poiché possederanno la terra.
5:5	Beati coloro che piangono, poiché saranno consolati.
5:6	Beati coloro che hanno fame e sete di giustizia, poiché saranno soddisfatti.
5:7	Beati i misericordiosi, poiché otterranno misericordia.
5:8	Beati i puri di cuore, poiché vedranno Dio.
5:9	Beati gli operatori di pace, poiché saranno chiamati figli di Dio.
5:10	Beati coloro che sopportano la persecuzione per causa della giustizia, perché di essi è il regno dei cieli.
5:11	Beato te quando ti avranno calunniato, e ti hanno perseguitato, e hanno detto contro di te ogni specie di male, falsamente, per il mio bene:
5:12	rallegratevi ed esultate, perché abbondante è la tua ricompensa nei cieli. Perché così perseguitarono i profeti che furono prima di voi.
