Esodo 20: 1- 17

20:1	And the Lord spoke all these words:
20:2	“I am the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt, out of the house of servitude.
20:3	You shall not have strange gods before me.
20:4	You shall not make for yourself a graven image, nor a likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on earth below, nor of those things which are in the waters under the earth.
20:5	You shall not adore them, nor shall you worship them. I am the Lord your God: strong, zealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the sons to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
20:6	and showing mercy to thousands of those who love me and keep my precepts.
20:7	You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. For the Lord will not hold harmless one who takes the name of the Lord his God falsely.
20:8	Remember that you are to sanctify the day of the Sabbath.
20:9	For six days, you will work and accomplish all your tasks.
20:10	But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. You shall not do any work in it: you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, your beast and the newcomer who is within your gates.
20:11	For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all the things that are in them, and so he rested on the seventh day. Per questa ragione, the Lord has blessed the day of the Sabbath and sanctified it.
20:12	Onora tuo padre e tua madre, so that you may have a long life upon the land, which the Lord your God will give to you.
20:13	You shall not murder.
20:14	Non commettere adulterio.
20:15	Non ruberai.
20:16	You shall not speak false testimony against your neighbor.
20:17	You shall not covet the house of your neighbor; neither shall you desire his wife, nor male servant, nor female servant, nor ox, nor donkey, nor anything that is his.”

First Corinthians 1: 22- 25

1:22	Perché gli ebrei chiedono segni, e i greci cercano la saggezza.
1:23	Ma noi stiamo predicando Cristo crocifisso. Certamente, agli ebrei, questo è uno scandalo, e ai Gentili, questa è follia.
1:24	Ma a coloro che sono stati chiamati, Ebrei e Greci, il Cristo è la virtù di Dio e la sapienza di Dio.
1:25	Perché ciò che è stoltezza per Dio è considerato saggio dagli uomini, e ciò che è debolezza per Dio è considerato forte dagli uomini.

John 2: 13- 25

2:13	E la Pasqua dei Giudei era vicina, e così Gesù salì a Gerusalemme.
2:14	E ha trovato, seduto nel tempio, venditori di buoi e pecore e colombe, e i cambiavalute.
2:15	E quando aveva fatto qualcosa come una frusta con piccole corde, li scacciò tutti dal tempio, comprese le pecore e i buoi. E versò le monete di bronzo dei cambiavalute, e rovesciò le loro tavole.
2:16	E a quelli che vendevano colombe, Egli ha detto: “Porta via queste cose da qui, e non trasformare la casa di mio Padre in una casa di commercio”.
2:17	E veramente, ai suoi discepoli fu ricordato che è scritto: “Lo zelo per la tua casa mi consuma”.
2:18	Allora i Giudei gli risposero e gli dissero, “Quale segno puoi mostrarci, affinché tu possa fare queste cose?"
2:19	Gesù rispose e disse loro, “Distruggi questo tempio, e in tre giorni lo farò risorgere».
2:20	Allora gli ebrei dissero, “Questo tempio è stato costruito in quarantasei anni, e lo farai risorgere in tre giorni?"
2:21	Eppure parlava del Tempio del suo corpo.
2:22	Perciò, quando era risuscitato dai morti, ai suoi discepoli fu ricordato che aveva detto questo, e credettero nelle Scritture e nella parola detta da Gesù.
2:23	Ora, mentre era a Gerusalemme durante la Pasqua, nel giorno della festa, molti confidarono nel suo nome, vedendo i suoi segni che stava compiendo.
2:24	Ma Gesù non si fidava di loro, perché lui stesso aveva conoscenza di tutte le persone,
2:25	e perché non aveva bisogno di nessuno che testimoniasse su un uomo. Perché sapeva cosa c'era dentro un uomo.
