Lettura

Efesini 1: 1-10

1:1 Paolo, un apostolo di Gesù Cristo per volontà di Dio, a tutti i santi che sono in Efeso e ai fedeli in Cristo Gesù.

1:2 Grazia e pace a voi da Dio Padre, e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.

1:3 Benedetto sia Dio e Padre del nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, che ci ha benedetti con ogni benedizione spirituale nei cieli, in Cristo,

1:4 così come in lui ci ha eletti prima della fondazione del mondo, affinché fossimo santi e immacolati ai suoi occhi, nella carità.

1:5 Ci ha predestinati all'adozione come figli, per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, in se stesso, secondo lo scopo della sua volontà,

1:6 a lode della gloria della sua grazia, di cui ci ha fatto dono nel suo Figlio diletto.

1:7 In lui, abbiamo la redenzione attraverso il suo sangue: la remissione dei peccati secondo la ricchezza della sua grazia,

1:8 che è sovrabbondante in noi, con ogni saggezza e prudenza.

1:9 Così ci fa conoscere il mistero della sua volontà, che ha esposto in Cristo, in un modo a lui gradito,

1:10 nella dispensazione della pienezza del tempo, per rinnovare in Cristo tutto ciò che per mezzo di lui esiste nei cieli e sulla terra.

Luca 1: 47-54

11:47	Woe to you, who build the tombs of the prophets, while it is your fathers who killed them!
11:48	Chiaramente, you are testifying that you consent to the actions of your fathers, because even though they killed them, you build their sepulchers.
11:49	Because of this also, the wisdom of God said: I will send to them Prophets and Apostles, and some of these they will kill or persecute,
11:50	so that the blood of all the Prophets, which has been shed since the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation:
11:51	from the blood of Abel, even to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. So I say to you: it will be required of this generation!
11:52	Woe to you, experts in the law! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves do not enter, and those who were entering, you would have prohibited.”
11:53	Poi, while he was saying these things to them, the Pharisees and the experts in the law began to insist strongly that he restrain his mouth about many things.
11:54	And waiting to ambush him, they sought something from his mouth that they might seize upon, in order to accuse him.
