En lisant

The Book of the Prophet Jeremiah 14: 17-22

14:17	And you shall speak this word to them: Let my eyes shed tears throughout the night and day, and let them not cease. For the virgin daughter of my people has been crushed by a great affliction, by a very grievous wound.”
14:18	“If I go out into the fields: voir, those slain by the sword. And if I enter into the city: voir, those weakened by famine. De même, le prophète, aussi, et le prêtre, have gone into a land that they did not know.
14:19	Could you have utterly cast out Judah? Or has your soul abhorred Zion? Then why have you struck us, so much so that there is no health for us? We have waited for peace, but there is nothing good, and for the time of healing, et voici, trouble.
14:20	ô Seigneur, we acknowledge our impieties, the iniquities of our fathers, that we have sinned against you.
14:21	Pour l'amour de ton nom, do not give us over into disgrace. And do not dishonor in us the throne of your glory. Se souvenir, do not make void, your covenant with us.
14:22	Could any of the graven images of the Gentiles send rain? Or are the heavens able to give showers? Have we not hoped in you, the Lord our God? For you have made all these things.”

Luc 10: 38-42

10:38	Maintenant il est arrivé que, while they were traveling, he entered into a certain town. Et une certaine femme, named Martha, received him into her home.
10:39	And she had a sister, named Mary, OMS, while sitting beside the Lord’s feet, was listening to his word.
10:40	Now Martha was continually busying herself with serving. And she stood still and said: "Seigneur, is it not a concern to you that my sister has left me to serve alone? Donc, speak to her, so that she may help me.”
10:41	And the Lord responded by saying to her: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled over many things.
10:42	And yet only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the best portion, and it shall not be taken away from her.”
