En lisant

Les Actes des Apôtres 1: 1-11

1:1	Certainement, Ô Théophile, J'ai composé le premier discours sur tout ce que Jésus a commencé à faire et à enseigner,
1:2	instruisant les Apôtres, qu'il avait choisi par le Saint-Esprit, jusqu'au jour où il a été enlevé.
1:3	Il s'est également présenté vivant à eux, après sa passion, leur apparaissant pendant quarante jours et parlant du royaume de Dieu avec de nombreuses élucidations.
1:4	Et dîner avec eux, il leur ordonna de ne pas s'éloigner de Jérusalem, mais qu'ils doivent attendre la Promesse du Père, "dont vous avez entendu parler," il a dit, « de ma propre bouche.
1:5	Pour Jean, en effet, baptisé d'eau, mais tu seras baptisé du Saint-Esprit, dans quelques jours à partir de maintenant.
1:6	Donc, ceux qui s'étaient réunis l'interrogeaient, en disant, "Seigneur, est-ce le moment où tu restaureras le royaume d'Israël?”
1:7	Mais il leur a dit: "Ce n'est pas à toi de connaître les temps ou les moments, que le Père a établi de sa propre autorité.
1:8	Mais vous recevrez la puissance du Saint-Esprit, passer sur toi, et vous serez mes témoins à Jérusalem, et dans toute la Judée et la Samarie, et même jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.
1:9	Et quand il eut dit ces choses, pendant qu'ils regardaient, il a été relevé, et un nuage l'enleva de leur vue.
1:10	Et pendant qu'ils le regardaient monter au ciel, voir, deux hommes se tenaient près d'eux en vêtements blancs.
1:11	Et ils ont dit: « Hommes de Galilée, pourquoi restes-tu ici regardant vers le ciel? Ce Jésus, qui a été enlevé de toi au ciel, reviendra exactement de la même manière que vous l'avez vu monter au ciel.

The Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians 1: 17-23

1:17	so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give a spirit of wisdom and of revelation to you, in knowledge of him.
1:18	May the eyes of your heart be illuminated, so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and the wealth of the glory of his inheritance with the saints,
1:19	and the preeminent magnitude of his virtue toward us, toward we who believe in accord with the work of his powerful virtue,
1:20	which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead and establishing him at his right hand in the heavens,
1:21	above every principality and power and virtue and dominion, and above every name that is given, not only in this age, but even in the future age.
1:22	And he has subjected all things under his feet, and he has made him the head over the entire Church,
1:23	which is his body and which is the fullness of him who accomplishes everything in everyone.

28:16	Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
