En lisant

The First Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 8: 1-7, 11-13

8:1	Maintenant concernant ces choses qui sont sacrifiées aux idoles: nous savons que nous avons tous des connaissances. La connaissance gonfle, mais la charité se construit.
8:2	Mais si quelqu'un considère qu'il sait quelque chose, il ne sait pas encore comme il devrait savoir.
8:3	Car si quelqu'un aime Dieu, il est connu par lui.
8:4	Mais quant aux aliments qui sont immolés aux idoles, nous savons qu'une idole dans le monde n'est rien, et que personne n'est Dieu, sauf un.
8:5	Car bien qu'il y ait des choses qu'on appelle des dieux, que ce soit au ciel ou sur terre, (si l'on considère même qu'il y a plusieurs dieux et plusieurs seigneurs)
8:6	pourtant nous savons qu'il n'y a qu'un seul Dieu, le père, de qui viennent toutes choses, et en qui nous sommes, et un seul Seigneur Jésus-Christ, par qui tout est, et par qui nous sommes.
8:7	Mais la connaissance n'est pas dans tout le monde. Pour certaines personnes, même maintenant, avec consentement à une idole, manger ce qui a été sacrifié à une idole. Et leur conscience, être infirme, devient pollué.
8:11	Et si un frère infirme devait périr par ta connaissance, même si Christ est mort pour lui?
8:12	Alors quand tu pèches ainsi contre les frères, et tu nuis à leur conscience affaiblie, alors tu pèches contre Christ.
8:13	À cause de ce, si la nourriture conduit mon frère au péché, Je ne mangerai jamais de viande, de peur que je ne conduise mon frère au péché.

Gospel

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 6: 27-38

6:27	But I say to you who are listening: Aimez vos ennemis. Fais du bien à ceux qui te détestent.
6:28	Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who slander you.
6:29	And to him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your coat, do not withhold even your tunic.
6:30	But distribute to all who ask of you. And do not ask again of him who takes away what is yours.
6:31	And exactly as you would want people to treat you, treat them also the same.
6:32	And if you love those who love you, what credit is due to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
6:33	And if you will do good to those who do good to you, what credit is due to you? En effet, even sinners behave this way.
6:34	And if you will loan to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is due to you? For even sinners lend to sinners, in order to receive the same in return.
6:35	Tellement vraiment, love your enemies. Faire du bien, and lend, hoping for nothing in return. And then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and to the wicked.
6:36	Donc, be merciful, just as your Father is also merciful.
6:37	Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
6:38	Give, and it will be given to you: a good measure, pressed down and shaken together and overflowing, they will place upon your lap. Certainement, the same measure that you use to measure out, will be used to measure back to you again.”
