Amos 3: 1-8, 4: 11-12

Amos 3

3:1	Listen to the word which the Lord has spoken about you, mga anak ni Israel, concerning the whole family that I led out of the land of Egypt, kasabihan:
3:2	I have known only you in such a way, out of all the families of the earth. Dahil dito, I will visit upon you all your iniquities.
3:3	Will two walk together, unless they have agreed to do so?
3:4	Will a lion roar in the forest, unless he has prey? Will the lion’s young cry out from his den, unless he has taken something?
3:5	Will a bird fall into a snare on the ground, if there is no bird-catcher? Will a snare be taken away from the ground, before it has caught something?
3:6	Will the trumpet sound in a city, and the people not become frightened? Will there be disaster in a city, which the Lord has not done?
3:7	For the Lord God does not fulfill his word, unless he has revealed his secret to his servants the prophets.
3:8	The lion will roar, who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken, who will not prophesy?

4:11 I overturned you, just as God overturned Sodom and Gomorrah, and you became like an ember seized from the fire. And you did not return to me, sabi ng Panginoon.

4:12 Dahil dito, I will do these things to you, Israel. But after I have done these things to you, Israel, be prepared to meet your God.

Mateo 8: 23-27

8:23 At sumakay sa bangka, sumunod sa kanya ang kanyang mga alagad.

8:24 At masdan, isang malakas na unos ang naganap sa dagat, kaya't ang bangka ay natabunan ng mga alon; pa tunay, natutulog siya.

8:25 At nagsilapit sa kaniya ang kaniyang mga alagad, at ginising nila siya, kasabihan: “Panginoon, iligtas kami, tayo ay namamatay.”

8:26 At sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, "Bakit ka takot, O maliit sa pananampalataya?” Tapos bumangon, utos niya sa hangin, at ang dagat. At isang malaking katahimikan ang naganap.

8:27 At saka, nagtataka ang mga lalaki, kasabihan: “Anong klaseng lalaki ito? Sapagkat maging ang hangin at ang dagat ay sumusunod sa kanya.”
