Nagbabasa

Ang Aklat ni Propeta Jeremias 14: 17-22

14:17	And you shall speak this word to them: Let my eyes shed tears throughout the night and day, and let them not cease. For the virgin daughter of my people has been crushed by a great affliction, by a very grievous wound.”
14:18	“If I go out into the fields: masdan, those slain by the sword. And if I enter into the city: masdan, those weakened by famine. Ganun din, ang Propeta, masyadong, at ang pari, have gone into a land that they did not know.
14:19	Could you have utterly cast out Judah? Or has your soul abhorred Zion? Then why have you struck us, so much so that there is no health for us? We have waited for peace, but there is nothing good, and for the time of healing, at masdan, trouble.
14:20	O Panginoon, we acknowledge our impieties, the iniquities of our fathers, that we have sinned against you.
14:21	For the sake of your name, do not give us over into disgrace. And do not dishonor in us the throne of your glory. Tandaan, do not make void, your covenant with us.
14:22	Could any of the graven images of the Gentiles send rain? Or are the heavens able to give showers? Have we not hoped in you, ang Panginoon nating Diyos? For you have made all these things.”

Luke 10: 38-42

10:38	Ngayon nangyari yun, habang sila ay naglalakbay, pumasok siya sa isang bayan. At isang tiyak na babae, pinangalanang Martha, tinanggap siya sa kanyang tahanan.
10:39	At nagkaroon siya ng kapatid na babae, pinangalanang Maria, WHO, habang nakaupo sa tabi ng paanan ng Panginoon, ay nakikinig sa kanyang salita.
10:40	Ngayon si Martha ay patuloy na abala sa paglilingkod. At tumayo siya at sinabi: “Panginoon, hindi ba kayo nag-aalala na pinabayaan ako ng aking kapatid na maglingkod nang mag-isa? Samakatuwid, kausapin mo siya, para matulungan niya ako."
10:41	At ang Panginoon ay tumugon sa pamamagitan ng pagsasabi sa kanya: “Martha, Martha, ikaw ay nababalisa at nababagabag sa maraming bagay.
10:42	At isa lang ang kailangan. Pinili ni Maria ang pinakamagandang bahagi, at hindi ito aalisin sa kanya.”
