Unang Pagbasa

 

Ang Mga Gawa ng mga Apostol 10: 25-26, 34-35, 44-48

10:25 At nangyari iyon, nang pumasok si Pedro, Pinuntahan siya ni Cornelio. At bumagsak sa harap ng kanyang mga paa, iginagalang niya.

10:26 Gayunpaman tunay, Peter, pagbubuhat sa kanya, sabi: "Umakyat, sapagkat ako rin ay tao lamang.”

10:34 Pagkatapos, Peter, pagbukas ng kanyang bibig, sabi: “Napagpasyahan ko sa katotohanan na ang Diyos ay hindi nagtatangi ng mga tao.

10:35 Ngunit sa loob ng bawat bansa, sinumang natatakot sa kanya at gumagawa ng katarungan ay katanggap-tanggap sa kanya.

10:44 Habang sinasalita pa ni Pedro ang mga salitang ito, bumaba ang Banal na Espiritu sa lahat ng nakikinig sa Salita.

10:45 At ang tapat ng pagtutuli, na dumating kasama si Pedro, ay namangha na ang biyaya ng Espiritu Santo ay ibinuhos din sa mga Gentil.

10:46 Sapagka't narinig nila silang nagsasalita ng mga wika at nagpupuri sa Dios.

10:47 Pagkatapos ay tumugon si Peter, “Paanong may nagbabawal sa tubig, upang ang mga nakatanggap ng Banal na Espiritu ay hindi mabinyagan, tulad din ng dati?”

10:48 At inutusan niya silang magpabautismo sa pangalan ng Panginoong Jesu-Cristo. Pagkatapos ay ipinamanhik nila sa kanya na manatili sa kanila ng ilang araw.

The First Letter of Saint John 4: 7-10

4:7 Pinakamamahal, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.

4:9 The love of God was made apparent to us in this way: that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

4:10 In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.

Ang Banal na Ebanghelyo Ayon kay Juan 15: 9-17

15:9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love.

15:10 If you keep my precepts, you shall abide in my love, just as I also have kept my Father’s precepts and I abide in his love.

15:11 These things I have spoken to you, so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be fulfilled.

15:12 This is my precept: that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

15:13 No one has a greater love than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.

15:14 You are my friends, if you do what I instruct you.

15:15 I will no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his Lord is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything whatsoever that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And I have appointed you, so that you may go forth and bear fruit, and so that your fruit may last. Then whatever you have asked of the Father in my name, he shall give to you.

15:17 This I command you: that you love one another.
