Єремія 3: 5-8

23:5 Ось, the days are approaching, говорить Господь, when I will raise up to David a righteous branch. And a king will reign, and he will be wise. And he will exercise judgment and justice upon the earth.
23:6 У ті дні, Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: 'Бог, our Just One.’
23:7 Тому що, ось, the days are approaching, говорить Господь, when they will no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives, who led the sons of Israel away from the land of Egypt,'
23:8 але замість цього, ‘As the Lord lives, who led away and brought back the offspring of the house of Israel from the land of the north and from the entire earth,’ from the places to which I had cast them out. And they will live in their own land.”

Gospel

Матвій 1: 18-25

1:18	Таким чином відбулося народження Христа. Після того, як його мати Марія була заручена з Йосипом, до того, як вони жили разом, було виявлено, що вона зачала в утробі від Святого Духа.
1:19	Потім Йосип, її чоловік, оскільки він був справедливим і не хотів віддавати її, волів відіслати її таємно.
1:20	Але, думаючи над цими речами, ось, Ангел Господній явився йому уві сні, кажучи: «Джозеф, син Давида, не бійся прийняти Марію за дружину. Бо те, що утворилося в ній, є від Святого Духа.
1:21	І вона народить сина. І даси йому ім'я Ісус. Бо він здійснить спасіння свого народу від їхніх гріхів».
1:22	Now all this occurred in order to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, кажучи:
1:23	«Ось, a virgin shall conceive in her womb, and she shall give birth to a son. And they shall call his name Emmanuel, що означає: God is with us.”
1:24	Потім Йосип, виникає зі сну, зробив так, як наказав йому ангел Господній, і він прийняв її за дружину.
1:25	And he knew her not, yet she bore her son, первісток. And he called his name JESUS.
