Jonas 1

1:1	And the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, di:

1:4	But the Lord sent a great wind into the sea. And a great tempest took place in the sea, and the ship was in danger of being crushed.
1:5	And the mariners were afraid, and the men cried out to their god. And they threw the containers that were in the ship into the sea in order to lighten it of them. And Jonah went down into the interior of the ship, and he fell into a painful deep sleep.
1:6	And the helmsman approached him, li di li, “Why are you weighed down with sleep? Leve non, call upon your God, so perhaps God will be mindful of us and we might not perish.”

1:13	And the men were rowing, so as to return to dry land, but they did not succeed. For the sea flowed and swelled against them.

1:15	And they took Jonah and cast him into the sea. And the sea was stilled from its fury.
1:16	And the men feared the Lord greatly, and they sacrificed victims to the Lord, and they made vows.

Jonas 2

2:1	And the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.
2:2	And Jonah prayed to the Lord, Bondye li a, from the belly of the fish.

2:8	When my soul was in anguish within me, I called to mind the Lord, so that my prayer might come to you, to your holy temple.
2:9	Those who in vain observe vanities, abandon their own mercy.
2:10	Men mwen, with a voice of praise, will sacrifice to you. I will repay whatever I have vowed to the Lord, because of my salvation.”
2:11	And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Jonas 3

3:1	Apre sa, Seyè a pale ak Jonas yon dezyèm fwa, di:

3:3	Epi Jonas leve, Li ale Niniv dapre pawòl Seyè a. Niniv te yon gwo vil ki te vwayaje twa jou.
3:4	Yon jou, Jonas te kòmanse antre nan vil la. Epi li rele byen fò, li di, "Karant jou ankò e Niniv pral detwi."
3:5	Moun lavil Niniv yo te kwè nan Bondye. Epi yo te pwoklame yon jèn, Yo mete rad sak sou yo, soti nan pi gran nan tout wout la nan pi piti a.
3:6	Lè sa a, wa Niniv la pale. Epi li leve sou fotèy li a, Li wete rad li sou tèt li, li mete rad sak sou li, epi li te chita nan sann.
3:7	Epi li pran rele, li pale: “Niniv, soti nan bouch wa a ak chèf li yo, se pou li di: Moun, bèt, bèf ak mouton pa gen dwa goute anyen. Yo p'ap manje ni bwè dlo.
3:8	Se pou moun ak bèt yo kouvri ak twal sak, epi se pou yo rele nan pye Seyè a ak fòs, epi se pou lèzòm konvèti soti nan move chemen li, ak mechanste ki nan men yo.
3:9	Ki moun ki konnen si Bondye ka vire epi padone, epi li ka vire do bay kòlè li, pou nou pa peri?”
3:10	Epi Bondye te wè zèv yo, ke yo te konvèti soti nan move chemen yo. Epi Bondye te pran pitye pou yo, konsènan mal li te di li t ap fè yo, epi li pa t 'fè sa.

Jonas 4

4:1	Jonas te soufri yon gwo lapenn, e li te fache.

4:7	Epi Bondye pare yon vè k'ap manje kadav, lè douvanjou te apwoche nan demen, epi li frape Ivy la, epi li cheche.
4:8	Epi lè solèy la te leve, Seyè a te bay lòd pou yon van cho ak boule. Apre sa, solèy la tonbe sou tèt Jonas, epi li boule. Apre sa, li mande pou nanm li pou l' ka mouri, epi li di, "Li pi bon pou mwen mouri pase viv."
4:9	Seyè a di Jonas, “Èske w reyèlman panse ke ou gen rezon pou w fache akòz Ivy la?” Epi li di, "Mwen gen rezon pou m fache jouk mwen mouri."

4:11	Mwen p'ap epaye Niniv, gwo vil la, kote gen plis pase sanvenmil gason, ki pa konn diferans ant dwat yo ak goch yo, ak anpil bèt?”
