Amos 3: 1-8, 4: 11-12

Amos 3

3:1	Listen to the word which the Lord has spoken about you, mga anak sa Israel, concerning the whole family that I led out of the land of Egypt, nag-ingon:
3:2	I have known only you in such a way, out of all the families of the earth. Tungod niini nga hinungdan, I will visit upon you all your iniquities.
3:3	Will two walk together, unless they have agreed to do so?
3:4	Will a lion roar in the forest, unless he has prey? Will the lion’s young cry out from his den, unless he has taken something?
3:5	Will a bird fall into a snare on the ground, if there is no bird-catcher? Will a snare be taken away from the ground, before it has caught something?
3:6	Will the trumpet sound in a city, and the people not become frightened? Will there be disaster in a city, which the Lord has not done?
3:7	For the Lord God does not fulfill his word, unless he has revealed his secret to his servants the prophets.
3:8	The lion will roar, who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken, who will not prophesy?

4:11 I overturned you, just as God overturned Sodom and Gomorrah, and you became like an ember seized from the fire. And you did not return to me, nag-ingon ang Ginoo.

4:12 Tungod niini, I will do these things to you, Israel. But after I have done these things to you, Israel, be prepared to meet your God.

Mateo 8: 23-27

8:23 Ug misakay sa sakayan, misunod kaniya ang iyang mga tinun-an.

8:24 Ug tan-awa, usa ka dakong unos ang nahitabo sa dagat, mao nga ang sakayan natabonan sa mga balud; sa tinuod lang, natulog siya.

8:25 Ug miduol kaniya ang iyang mga tinon-an, ug ilang gipukaw siya, nag-ingon: “Ginoo, luwasa kami, mangamatay kita.”

8:26 Ug si Jesus miingon kanila, “Nganong nahadlok man ka, O gamay sa pagtuo?” Unya mibangon, gimandoan niya ang hangin, ug dagat. Ug nahitabo ang dakong kalinaw.

8:27 Dugang pa, ang mga lalaki natingala, nag-ingon: “Unsa man kining tawhana? Kay bisan pa ang hangin ug ang dagat nagatuman kaniya.”
