Matye 25:14-30

‘It is like a man about to go abroad who summoned his servants and entrusted hisproperty to them.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, nan yon twazyèm, chak nan pwopòsyon ak kapasite li. Apre sa, li pati nan vwayaj li.

Nonm ki te resevwa senk talan yo san pèdi tan ale, li fè komès ak yo, li fè senk lòt.

Nonm ki te resevwa de a fè de lòt nan menm fason an.

Men nonm ki te resevwa youn nan ale, li fouye yon twou nan tè a epi li kache lajan mèt li a.

Koulye a, yon bon bout tan apre sa, Mèt domestik sa yo tounen, li fè kont li avèk yo.

Nonm ki te resevwa senk talan an pwoche bò kote l, li pote senk lòt. “Mesye,” li te di, “ou konfye m senk talan; Men senk plis ke mwen te fè.”

Mèt li di li, “Byen fè, bon sèvitè ki fè konfyans; ou te montre ou gen konfyans nan ti bagay; Mwen pral fè ou konfyans ak pi gwo; come and join in your master’s happiness.

Next the man with the two talents came forward. “Mesye,” li te di, “you entrusted me with two talents; here are two more that I have made.

Mèt li di li, “Byen fè, bon sèvitè ki fè konfyans; ou te montre ou gen konfyans nan ti bagay; Mwen pral fè ou konfyans ak pi gwo; come and join in your master’s happiness.

Last came forward the man who had the single talent. “Mesye,” said he, “I had heard you were a hard man, reaping where you had not sown and gathering where you had not scattered;

so I was afraid, and I went off and hid your talent in the ground. Here it is; it was yours, you have it back.

But his master answered him, “You wicked and lazy servant! So you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered?

Well then, ou ta dwe depoze lajan mwen ak bankye yo, and on my return I would have got my money back with interest.

Se konsa, kounye a, take the talent from him and give it to the man who has the ten talents.

For to everyone who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough; but anyone who has not, will be deprived even of what he has.

As for this good-for-nothing servant, throw him into the darkness outside, where therewill be weeping and grinding of teeth.
