Hosea 14: 2-7

14:2 Israel, convert to the Lord your God. For you have been ruined by your own iniquity.
14:3 Take these words with you and return to the Lord. And say to him, “Remove all iniquity and accept the good. And we will repay the calves of our lips.
14:4 Assur will not save us; we will not ride on horses. Neither will we say any more, ‘The works of our hands are our gods,’ for those that are in you will have mercy on the orphan.”
14:5 I will heal their contrition; I will love them spontaneously. For my wrath has been turned away from them.
14:6 I will be like the dew; Israel will spring forth like the lily, and his root will spread out like that of the cedars of Lebanon.
14:7 His branches will advance, and his glory will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance will be like that of the cedars of Lebanon.

Mateo 10: 16-23

10:16 Masdan, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves. Samakatuwid, be as prudent as serpents and as simple as doves.
10:17 Ngunit mag-ingat sa mga lalaki. Sapagkat ibibigay ka nila sa mga konseho, at hahampasin ka nila sa kanilang mga sinagoga.
10:18 At ikaw ay dadalhin sa harap ng mga pinuno at mga hari alang-alang sa akin, bilang patotoo sa kanila at sa mga Gentil.
10:19 Pero kapag binigay ka nila, huwag piliin na isipin kung paano o kung ano ang sasabihin. Sapagka't kung ano ang sasabihin ay ibibigay sa inyo sa oras na iyon.
10:20 Sapagkat hindi ikaw ang magsasalita, kundi ang Espiritu ng iyong Ama, sino ang magsasalita sa iyo.
10:21 At ibibigay ni kuya ang kapatid sa kamatayan, at ibibigay ng ama ang anak. At ang mga anak ay babangon laban sa mga magulang at dadalhin ang kanilang kamatayan.
10:22 At kapopootan kayo ng lahat alang-alang sa aking pangalan. Ngunit kung sino man ang magtiyaga, kahit hanggang dulo, siya rin ang maliligtas.
10:23 Now when they persecute you in one city, flee into another. Amen sinasabi ko sa iyo, you will not have exhausted all the cities of Israel, before the Son of man returns.
