Reading

The Acts of the Apostles 6: 8-15

6:8	Тоді Стівен, сповнений витонченості та сили духу, чинив великі знамення та чуда серед людей.
6:9	Але певні, із синагоги так званих лібертинів, і кіренійців, і олександрійців, і повстали ті, що були з Кілікії та Азії, і сперечалися зі Стефаном.
6:10	Але вони не змогли протистояти мудрості та Духу, з якими він говорив.
6:11	Тоді вони підтримали людей, які мали стверджувати, що вони чули, як він говорив блюзнірські слова проти Мойсея та Бога.
6:12	І таким чином вони підбурили людей, і старших, і книжників. І поспішають разом, вони схопили його і привели до ради.
6:13	І поставили лжесвідків, хто сказав: «Цей чоловік не перестає говорити слова проти святині та закону.
6:14	Бо ми чули, як він говорив, що цей Ісус Назарянин зруйнує це місце і змінить традиції, яку передав нам Мойсей».
6:15	І всі ті, хто сидів у раді, дивлячись на нього, побачив його обличчя, ніби воно стало обличчям ангела.

Gospel

The Holy Gospel According to John 6: 22-29

6:22	On the next day, the crowd which was standing across the sea saw that there were no other small boats in that place, except one, and that Jesus had not entered into the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had departed alone.
6:23	Але справді, other boats came over from Tiberias, next to the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord gave thanks.
6:24	тому, when the crowd had seen that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they climbed into the small boats, and they went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
6:25	And when they had found him across the sea, сказали йому, “Rabbi, when did you come here?»
6:26	Jesus answered them and said: “Amen, amen, Я кажу тобі, you seek me, not because you have seen signs, but because you have eaten from the bread and were satisfied.
6:27	Do not work for food that perishes, but for that which endures to eternal life, which the Son of man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”

6:29	Jesus responded and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he sent.”
