Handelinge 16: 11-15

16:11 En vaar van Troas af, 'n direkte pad inslaan, ons het by Samothrace aangekom, en op die volgende dag, by Neapolis,

 

16:12 en daarvandaan na Filippi, wat die vooraanstaande stad in die gebied van Masedonië is, 'n kolonie. Nou was ons 'n paar dae in hierdie stad, saam beraadslaag.

 

16:13 Toe, op die Sabbatdag, ons het buite die hek gestap, langs 'n rivier, waar dit gelyk het of daar 'n gebedsbyeenkoms was. En gaan sit, ons het met die vroue gepraat wat bymekaargekom het.

 

16:14 En 'n sekere vrou, genaamd Lydia, ’n purperverkoper in die stad Tiatira, 'n aanbidder van God, geluister. En die Here het haar hart oopgemaak om ontvanklik te wees vir wat Paulus sê.

 

16:15 En toe sy gedoop was, met haar huishouding, het sy by ons gepleit, sê: “As jy geoordeel het dat ek getrou aan die Here is, gaan in my huis in en vernag daar.” En sy het ons oortuig.

John 15: 26-16: 4

15:26 But when the Advocate has arrived, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will offer testimony about me.

 

15:27 And you shall offer testimony, because you are with me from the beginning.”

 

16:1 “These things I have spoken to you, so that you would not stumble.

 

16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues. But the hour is coming when everyone who puts you to death will consider that he is offering an excellent service to God.

 

16:3 And they will do these things to you because they have not known the Father, nor me.

 

16:4 But these things I have spoken to you, sodat, when the hour for these things will have arrived, you may remember that I told you.
