Die brief van Paulus aan die Efesiërs 1: 11-14

1:11	In hom, ons is ook geroep tot ons deel, Hy is vooraf bestem in ooreenstemming met die plan van die Een wat alle dinge volbring deur die raad van sy wil.
1:12	So mag ons wees, tot lof van sy heerlikheid, ons wat vooraf op Christus gehoop het.
1:13	In hom, jy ook, nadat jy die Woord van die waarheid gehoor en geglo het, wat die Evangelie van jou verlossing is, is verseël met die Heilige Gees van die Belofte.
1:14	Hy is die pand van ons erfenis, tot die verkryging van verlossing, tot lof van sy heerlikheid.

Die Heilige Evangelie volgens Lukas 12: 1-7

12:1	Toe, as great crowds were standing so close that they were stepping on one another, he began to say to his disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
12:2	For there is nothing covered, which will not be revealed, nor anything hidden, which will not be known.
12:3	For the things that you have spoken in darkness will be declared in the light. And what you have said in the ear in bedrooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.
12:4	So I say to you, my friends: Do not be fearful of those who kill the body, and afterwards have no more that they can do.
12:5	But I will reveal to you whom you should fear. Fear him who, after he will have killed, has the power to cast into Hell. So I say to you: Fear him.
12:6	Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? And yet not one of these is forgotten in the sight of God.
12:7	But even the very hairs of your head have all been numbered. Daarom, do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.
