The Second Letter of Saint Paul to Timothy 1: 1-8

1:1 Paulu, Aposteli Jesu Kristi nipa ifẹ Ọlọrun, gẹgẹ bi ileri ìyè ti mbẹ ninu Kristi Jesu,
1:2 si Timotiu, ọmọ ayanfẹ julọ. Oore-ọfẹ, aanu, alafia, láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Baba àti láti ọ̀dọ̀ Kristi Jésù Olúwa wa.
1:3 Mo dupe lowo Olorun, eniti mo sin, gege bi awon baba mi ti se, pÆlú ẹ̀rí-ọkàn mímọ́. Nitori li aisimi li emi ṣe iranti rẹ ninu adura mi, alẹ ati ọjọ,
1:4 desiring to see you, recalling your tears so as to be filled with joy,
1:5 calling to mind the same faith, which is in you unfeigned, which also first dwelt in your grandmother, Lois, and in your mother, Eunice, ati pelu, I am certain, in you.
1:6 Nitori eyi, Mo gba yin niyanju lati sọji oore-ọfẹ Ọlọrun, èyí tí ó wà nínú rẹ nípa fífi ọwọ́ mi lé.
1:7 Nítorí Ọlọrun kò fún wa ní ẹ̀mí ìbẹ̀rù, sugbon ti iwa rere, ati ti ife, àti ti ìkóra-ẹni-níjàánu.
1:8 Igba yen nko, maṣe tiju ẹri Oluwa wa, tabi ti emi, elewon re. Dipo, ṣe ifọwọsowọpọ pẹlu Ihinrere ni ibamu pẹlu iwa-rere Ọlọrun,
