קריאה

The Book of the Prophet Jeremiah 31: 31-34

31:31	לְהַבִּיט, the days are approaching, אומר ה', when I will form a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
31:32	not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand, so as to lead them away from the land of Egypt, the covenant which they nullified, though I was the ruler over them, אומר ה'.
31:33	But this will be the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel, after those days, אומר ה': I will give my law to their inner most being, and I will write it upon their heart. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
31:34	And they will no longer teach, a man his neighbor, and a man his brother, פִּתגָם: ‘Know the Lord.’ For all will know me, from the littlest of them even to the greatest, אומר ה'. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will no longer remember their sin.

הבשורה הקדושה על פי מתי 16: 13-23

16:13	ואז ישוע הלך לחלקים של קיסריה פיליפי. והוא חקר את תלמידיו, פִּתגָם, "מי אנשים אומרים שהוא בן האדם?”
16:14	והם אמרו, "יש אומרים יוחנן המטביל, ואחרים אומרים אליהו, אחרים אומרים ירמיהו או אחד הנביאים."
16:15	אמר להם ישוע, "אבל מי אתה אומר שאני?”
16:16	סיימון פיטר הגיב באומרו, "אתה המשיח, בנו של אלוהים חיים".
16:17	ובתגובה, אמר לו ישוע: "ברוך אתה, שמעון בן יונה. כי בשר ודם לא גילה לך זאת, אלא אבא שלי, מי בגן עדן.
16:18	ואני אומר לך, שאתה פיטר, ועל הסלע הזה אבנה את הכנסייה שלי, ושערי גיהנום לא יגברו עליו.
16:19	ואתן לך את מפתחות מלכות השמים. וְכָל מַה שֶּׁתִּקְשֹׁר עַל הָאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה יִהְיֶה, אפילו בגן עדן. וכל אשר תשחרר עלי אדמות ישוחרר, אפילו בגן עדן."
16:20	Then he instructed his disciples that they should tell no one that he is Jesus the Christ.
16:21	מהזמן ההוא, Jesus began to reveal to his disciples that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and to suffer much from the elders and the scribes and the leaders of the priests, and to be killed, and to rise again on the third day.
16:22	ופיטר, taking him aside, began to rebuke him, פִּתגָם, "אָדוֹן, may it be far from you; this shall not happen to you.”
16:23	And turning away, Jesus said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan; you are an obstacle to me. For you are not behaving according to what is of God, but according to what is of men.”
