Reading

The Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians 2: 12-22

2:12	and that you were, у то време, without Christ, being foreign to the way of life of Israel, being visitors to the testament, having no hope of the promise, and being without God in this world.
2:13	Али сад, у Христу Исусу, ти, who were in times past far away, have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14	For he is our peace. He made the two into one, by dissolving the intermediate wall of separation, of opposition, by his flesh,
2:15	emptying the law of commandments by decree, so that he might join these two, in himself, into one new man, making peace
2:16	and reconciling both to God, in one body, through the cross, destroying this opposition in himself.
2:17	And upon arriving, he evangelized peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near.
2:18	For by him, we both have access, in the one Spirit, to the Father.
2:19	Сада, дакле, you are no longer visitors and new arrivals. Уместо тога, you are citizens among the saints in the household of God,
2:20	having been built upon the foundation of the Apostles and of the Prophets, with Jesus Christ himself as the preeminent cornerstone.
2:21	У њему, all that has been built is framed together, rising up into a holy temple in the Lord.
2:22	У њему, you also have been built together into a habitation of God in the Spirit.

The Holy Gospel According to Luke 12: 35-38

12:35	Нека вам струкови буду опасани, и нека горе светиљке у вашим рукама.
12:36	И нека будете као људи који чекају свог господара, кад ће се вратити са свадбе; тако да, кад стигне и покуца, могу му се одмах отворити.
12:37	Блажени су слуге којима је Господ, кад се врати, наћи ће бити на опрезу. Амин вам кажем, да ће се опасати и да седну да једу, док је он, настављајући даље, служиће им.
12:38	А ако ће се вратити у другу стражу, или ако у трећој стражи, и ако ће наћи да су такви: онда блажене те слуге.
