The Second Book of Samuel 5: 1-7, 10

5:1 Dukan kabilan Isra'ila kuwa suka tafi wurin Dawuda a Hebron, yana cewa: “Duba, Mu ne kashinku da namanku.
5:2 Haka kuma, jiya da jiya, Sa'ad da Saul yake sarkinmu, Kai ne ka jagoranci Isra'ilawa ka komo. Sai Ubangiji ya ce muku, Za ku yi kiwon jama'ata Isra'ila, Kai ne kuma za ka zama shugaban Isra'ila.’ ”
5:3 Hakanan, dattawan Isra'ila suka tafi wurin sarki a Hebron, Sarki Dawuda kuwa ya yi alkawari da su a Hebron a gaban Ubangiji. Suka naɗa Dawuda ya zama Sarkin Isra'ila.
5:4 David was a son of thirty years, when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for forty years.
5:5 In Hebron, he reigned over Judah for seven years and six months. Then in Jerusalem, he reigned for thirty-three years over all of Israel and Judah.
5:6 Kuma sarki, and all the men who were with him, went away to Jerusalem, to the Jebusites, mazaunan ƙasar. And it was said to David by them, “You shall not enter here, unless you will take away the blind and the lame, wanda ke cewa, ‘David shall not enter here.’ ”
5:7 But David seized the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.
5:10 And he advanced, prospering and increasing, da Ubangiji, Allah Mai Runduna, was with him.
