First Reading

Kitab Raja-raja munggaran 19: 9, 11-13

9:9 And when he had arrived there, he stayed in a cave. Jeung behold, the word of the Lord came to him, sarta ngomong ka manehna, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

But the Lord was not in the earthquake.

19:12 And after the earthquake, there was a fire. But the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, there was the whisper of a gentle breeze.

19:13 And when Elijah had heard it, he covered his face with his cloak, and going out, he stood at the entrance of the cave. Jeung behold, there was a voice to him, nyebutkeun: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Sareng anjeunna ngawaler

Urang Romawi 9: 1-5

9:1 I am speaking the truth in Christ; Abdi henteu bohong. My conscience offers testimony to me in the Holy Spirit,

9:2 because the sadness within me is great, and there is a continuous sorrow in my heart.

9:3 For I was desiring that I myself might be anathemized from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, who are my kinsmen according to the flesh.

9:4 These are the Israelites, to whom belongs adoption as sons, and the glory and the testament, and the giving and following of the law, and the promises.

9:5 Theirs are the fathers, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is over all things, blessed God, pikeun sakabéh kalanggengan. Amin.

Mateus 14: 22-33

14:23 Jeung sanggeus mecat balaréa, anjeunna naek nyalira ka gunung pikeun solat. Sareng nalika sonten dugi, anjeunna nyalira di dinya.

14:24 Tapi di tengah laut, parahu keur ombak ombak. Pikeun angin éta ngalawan aranjeunna.

14:25 Saterusna, dina awas kaopat peuting, anjeunna sumping ka aranjeunna, leumpang kana laut.

14:26 Sareng ningali anjeunna leumpang kana laut, aranjeunna kaganggu, nyebutkeun: "Éta kedah janten penampakan." Jeung maranéhna ngajerit, lantaran sieun.

14:27 Jeung geura, Yesus nyarios ka aranjeunna, nyebutkeun: “Kudu iman. Ieu abdi. Entong sieun."

14:28 Lajeng Peter ngawaler ku nyebutkeun, “Gusti, lamun éta anjeun, Paréntah kuring datang ka anjeun ngaliwatan cai."

14:29 Jeung cenah, “Hayu.” Jeung Peter, turun tina parahu, leumpang ngaliwatan cai, sangkan indit ka Yesus.

14:30 Padahal sabenerna, ningali angin ngahiliwir, anjeunna sieun. Jeung salaku manéhna mimitian tilelep, anjeunna ngajerit, nyebutkeun: “Gusti, salametkeun abdi."

14:31 Jeung geura Yesus ngalegaan leungeun-Na jeung nyekel manéhna. Jeung cenah manéhna, “Aduh saeutik iman, naha anjeun cangcaya?”

14:32 Sareng nalika aranjeunna naék kana parahu, angin eureun.

14:33 Saterusna maranéhanana anu aya dina parahu Drew deukeut jeung muja manéhna, nyebutkeun: "Sabenerna, Anjeun teh Putra Allah.”
