Membaca

Surat kepada orang Ibrani 2: 14-18

2:14	Oleh itu, kerana kanak-kanak mempunyai darah daging yang sama, dia sendiri juga, dengan cara yang sama, telah berkongsi perkara yang sama, supaya melalui kematian, dia boleh membinasakan dia yang memegang kuasa maut, itu dia, syaitan,
2:15	dan supaya dia dapat membebaskan mereka yang, melalui ketakutan kematian, telah dihukum untuk menjadi hamba sepanjang hayat mereka.
2:16	Kerana dia tidak pernah memegang Malaikat, tetapi sebaliknya dia memegang keturunan Abraham.
2:17	Oleh itu, adalah layak baginya untuk dijadikan serupa dengan saudara-saudaranya dalam segala hal, supaya dia menjadi Imam Besar yang penuh belas kasihan dan setia di hadapan Tuhan, supaya dia dapat mengampuni kesalahan orang ramai.
2:18	Kerana selama ia sendiri telah menderita dan telah dicobai, Dia juga dapat menolong orang yang tergoda.

Injil Suci Menurut Markus 1: 29-39

1:29	And soon after departing from the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
1:30	But the mother-in-law of Simon lay ill with a fever. And at once they told him about her.
1:31	And drawing near to her, he raised her up, taking her by the hand. And immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
1:32	Kemudian, when evening arrived, after the sun had set, they brought to him all who had maladies and those who had demons.
1:33	And the entire city was gathered together at the door.
1:34	And he healed many who were troubled with various illnesses. And he cast out many demons, but he would not permit them to speak, because they knew him.
1:35	And rising up very early, berlepas, he went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.
1:36	And Simon, dan mereka yang bersamanya, followed after him.
1:37	And when they had found him, mereka berkata kepadanya, “For everyone is seeking you.”
1:38	Dan dia berkata kepada mereka: “Let us go into the neighboring towns and cities, so that I may preach there also. Sesungguhnya, it was for this reason that I came.”
1:39	And he was preaching in their synagogues and throughout all of Galilee, and casting out demons.
