Second Letter to the Corinthians 1: 1- 7

1:1 Pavao, apostol Isusa Krista voljom Božjom, i Timothy, brat, crkvi Božjoj koja je u Korintu, sa svim svetima koji su u svoj Ahaji:

1:2 Milost vam i mir od Boga Oca našega i od Gospodina Isusa Krista.

1:3 Blagoslovljen Bog i Otac Gospodina našega Isusa Krista, Oče milosrđa i Bože svake utjehe.

1:4 On nas tješi u svim našim nevoljama, kako bismo i mi mogli tješiti one koji su u bilo kakvoj nevolji, po nagovoru kojim i nas potiče Bog.

1:5 Jer kao što muka Kristova obiluje u nama, tako isto, kroz Krista, je li naša utjeha obilna.

1:6 Tako, ako smo u nevolji, to je za tvoju opomenu i spasenje, ili ako smo u utjehu, to ti je za utjehu, ili ako smo potaknuti, to je za tvoju opomenu i spasenje, što rezultira strpljivošću podnošenja iste strasti koju također podnosimo.

1:7 Tako neka se učvrsti naša nada u tebe, znajući da, kao što ste i vi sudionici patnje, tako ćete i vi biti sudionici utjehe.

Gospel

Matej 5: 1-12

5:1	Zatim, seeing the crowds, he ascended the mountain, and when he had sat down, his disciples drew near to him,
5:2	and opening his mouth, he taught them, izreka:
5:3	“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:4	Blessed are the meek, for they shall possess the earth.
5:5	Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be consoled.
5:6	Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied.
5:7	Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
5:8	Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
5:9	Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
5:10	Blessed are those who endure persecution for the sake of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11	Blessed are you when they have slandered you, and persecuted you, and spoken all kinds of evil against you, falsely, for my sake:
5:12	be glad and exult, for your reward in heaven is plentiful. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
