Libri i Parë i Mbretërve 17: 1-6

17:1 Dhe Elia Tishbiti, nga banorët e Galaadit, i tha Ashabit, “Ashtu siç jeton Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit, në sytë e të cilit qëndroj, nuk do të ketë as vesë as shi gjatë këtyre viteve, përveç fjalëve të gojës sime.”

17:2 Dhe fjala e Zotit iu drejtua, duke thënë:

17:3 “Tërhiqeni nga këtu, dhe shkoni në drejtim të lindjes, dhe fshihu në përruan Cherith, që është përballë Jordanit.

17:4 Dhe atje do të pini nga përroi. Dhe unë i kam porositur korbat t'ju ushqejnë atje."

17:5 Prandaj, ai shkoi dhe veproi sipas fjalës së Zotit. Dhe duke u larguar, ai u vendos pranë përroit Cherith, që është përballë Jordanit.

17:6 Dhe korbat i çuan bukë dhe mish në mëngjes, po ashtu bukë dhe mish në mbrëmje. Dhe ai piu nga përroi.

Mateu 5: 1-12

5:1	Pastaj, seeing the crowds, he ascended the mountain, and when he had sat down, his disciples drew near to him,
5:2	and opening his mouth, he taught them, duke thënë:
5:3	“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:4	Blessed are the meek, for they shall possess the earth.
5:5	Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be consoled.
5:6	Lum ata që janë të uritur dhe të etur për drejtësi, sepse ata do të jenë të kënaqur.
5:7	Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
5:8	Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
5:9	Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
5:10	Blessed are those who endure persecution for the sake of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11	Blessed are you when they have slandered you, and persecuted you, and spoken all kinds of evil against you, falsely, for my sake:
5:12	be glad and exult, for your reward in heaven is plentiful. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
