Léamh: Gníomhartha na nAspal 4:1 – 12

4:1 Ach agus iad ag labhairt leis na daoine, chuir na sagairt agus giúistís an teampaill agus na Sadúcaigh an lámh in uachtar orthu,
4:2 agus iad faoi bhrón go raibh siad ag teagasc na ndaoine agus ag fógairt in Íosa aiséirí ó mhairbh.
4:3 Agus leag siad lámha orthu, agus chuireadar faoi choimirce iad go dtí an lá arna mhárach. Óir bhí sé anois tráthnóna.
4:4 Ach chreid go leor acu siúd a chuala an focal. Agus tháinig cúig mhíle ar líon na bhfear.
4:5 Agus tharla an lá arna mhárach gur bhailigh a gceannairí agus a sinsir agus a scríobhaithe le chéile in Iarúsailéim,
4:6 Annas ina measc, an t-ardsagart, agus Caiaphas, agus Eoin agus Alastar, agus an méid do bhí de theaghlach na sagart.
4:7 Agus iad a chur sa lár, chuir siad ceist orthu: “Cén chumhacht, nó ina ainm, an bhfuil sé seo déanta agat?”
4:8 Ansin Peadar, líonadh leis an Spiorad Naomh, dúirt leo: “Ceannairí na ndaoine agus na sinsir, éist.
4:9 Má bhreithnítear sinn inniu trí ghníomh maith a dhéantar le fear easlán, trína bhfuil sé déanta ina iomláine,
4:10 bíodh sé in iúl daoibh go léir agus do mhuintir Iosrael go léir, sin in ainm ár dTiarna Íosa Críost Nazarene, a céasadh tú, a d'ardaigh Dia ó mhairbh, aige, seasann an fear seo romhat, sláintiúil.
4:11 Is é an cloch é, a dhiúltaigh tú, na tógálaithe, a tháinig chun bheith ina cheann an chúinne.
4:12 Agus níl slánú ar bith eile. óir ní thugtar ainm ar bith eile faoi neamh ar fhir, trínar gá dúinn a bheith sábháilte.”

Gospel according to John 21:1 – 14

21:1 And looking around, he saw the wealthy putting their donations into the offertory.
21:2 Then he also saw a certain widow, a pauper, putting in two small brass coins.
21:3 Agus dúirt sé: "Go fírinneach, deirim libh, that this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
21:4 For all these, out of their abundance, have added to the gifts for God. Ach sí, out of what she needed, has put in all that she had to live on.”
21:5 And when some of them were saying, about the temple, that it was adorned with excellent stones and gifts, dúirt sé,
21:6 “These things that you see, the days will arrive when there will not be left behind stone upon stone, which is not thrown down.”
21:7 Then they questioned him, ag rá: “Múinteoir, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when these things will happen?”
21:8 Agus dúirt sé: “Be cautious, lest you be seduced. For many will come in my name, ag rá: ‘For I am he,’ agus, ‘The time has drawn near.’ And so, do not choose to go after them.
21:9 And when you will have heard of battles and seditions, do not be terrified. These things must happen first. But the end is not so soon.”
21:10 Ansin dúirt sé leo: “People will rise up against people, and kingdom against kingdom.
21:11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and pestilences, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there will be great signs.
21:12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, handing you over to synagogues and into custody, dragging you before kings and governors, because of my name.
21:13 And this will be an opportunity for you to give testimony.
21:14 Dá bhrí sin, set this in your hearts: that you should not consider in advance how you might respond.
