First Book of Kings 19: 9, 11-13

9:9 Agus nuair a tháinig sé ann, d'fhan sé i bpluais. Agus féuch, tháinig briathar an Tiarna chuige, agus dubhairt sé leis, "Cád atá tú ag déanamh anseo, Éilias?”

19:11 Agus adubhairt sé ris, "Téigh amach agus seas ar an sliabh os comhair an Tiarna." Agus féuch, chuaigh an Tiarna thart. Agus bhí gaoth mhór láidir ann, ag cuimilt na sléibhte, agus na carraigeacha á mbrú os comhair an Tiarna. Ach ní raibh an Tiarna sa ghaoth. Agus tar éis na gaoithe, bhí crith talún ann. Ach ní raibh an Tiarna sa crith talún.

19:12 Agus tar éis an crith talún, bhí tine ann. Ach ní raibh an Tiarna sa tine. Agus tar éis an tine, bhí cogar na gaoithe mín.

19:13 Agus nuair a chuala Éilias é, chlúdaigh sé a aghaidh lena chlóca, agus ag dul amach, sheas sé ag bealach isteach na huaimhe. Agus féuch, bhí guth dó, ag rá: "Cád atá tú ag déanamh anseo, Éilias?” Agus d'fhreagair sé

Rómhánaigh 9: 1-5

9:1 I am speaking the truth in Christ; I am not lying. My conscience offers testimony to me in the Holy Spirit,

9:2 because the sadness within me is great, and there is a continuous sorrow in my heart.

9:3 For I was desiring that I myself might be anathemized from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, who are my kinsmen according to the flesh.

9:4 These are the Israelites, to whom belongs adoption as sons, and the glory and the testament, and the giving and following of the law, and the promises.

9:5 Theirs are the fathers, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is over all things, blessed God, for all eternity. Amen.

Matha 14: 22-33

14:22 And Jesus promptly compelled his disciples to climb into the boat, and to precede him in crossing the sea, while he dismissed the crowds.

14:23 And having dismissed the multitude, he ascended alone onto a mountain to pray. Agus nuair a tháinig tráthnóna, he was alone there.

14:24 But in the midst of the sea, the boat was being tossed about by the waves. For the wind was against them.

14:25 Ansin, in the fourth watch of the night, he came to them, walking upon the sea.

14:26 And seeing him walking upon the sea, they were disturbed, ag rá: “It must be an apparition.” And they cried out, because of fear.

14:27 Agus láithreach, Jesus spoke to them, ag rá: “Have faith. Is mise é. Do not be afraid.”

14:28 Then Peter responded by saying, “A Thiarna, if it is you, order me come to you over the waters.”

14:29 Agus dúirt sé, “Come.” And Peter, descending from the boat, walked over the water, so as to go to Jesus.

14:30 Ach go fírinneach, seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And as he began to sink, he cried out, ag rá: “A Thiarna, save me.”

14:31 And immediately Jesus extended his hand and took hold of him. Agus adubhairt sé ris, “O little in faith, why did you doubt?”

14:32 And when they had ascended into the boat, the wind ceased.

14:33 Then those who were in the boat drew near and adored him, ag rá: "Go fírinneach, you are the Son of God.”
