Leabhar an Fháidh Isaiah 3: 1-4, 4: 5- 6

3:1	Féach, I send my angel, and he will prepare the way before my face. And presently the Sovereign, whom you seek, and the angel of testimony, whom you desire, will arrive at his temple. Féach, he approaches, says the Lord of hosts.
3:2	And who will be able to consider the day of his advent, and who will stand firm in order to see him? For he is like a refining fire, and like the fuller’s herb.
3:3	And he will sit refining and cleansing the silver, and he will purge the sons of Levi, and he will gather them like gold and like silver, and they will offer sacrifices to the Lord in justice.
3:4	And the sacrifice of Judah and of Jerusalem will please the Lord, just as in the days of past generations, and as in the ancient years.

4:5	Féach, I will send to you Elijah the prophet, before the arrival of the great and terrible day of the Lord.
4:6	And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with anathema.

1:57	Anois tháinig an t-am chun breith a thabhairt do Eilís, agus rug sí mac.
1:58	Agus chuala a comharsan agus a gaolta gur mhéadaigh an Tiarna a thrócaire léi, agus mar sin rinne siad comhghairdeas léi.
1:59	Agus tharla sé sin, ar an ochtú lá, tháinig siad chun an buachaill a timpeallghearradh, agus thugadar ainm a athar air, Zechariah.
1:60	Agus mar fhreagra, a dúirt a mháthair: "Ní h-ea. Ina áit sin, tabharfar Eoin air.”
1:61	Agus dúirt siad léi, “Ach níl aon duine i measc do ghaolta ar a dtugtar an t-ainm sin.”
1:62	Ansin rinne siad comharthaí dá athair, i dtaobh cad ba mhian leis go dtabharfaí air.
1:63	Agus tablet scríbhneoireachta á iarraidh, Scríobh sé, ag rá: " Seán is ainm dó." Agus d'éirigh siad go léir.
1:64	Ansin, láithreach, osclaíodh a bhéal, agus a theanga scaoilte, agus labhair sé, beannacht Dé.
1:65	Agus thit eagla ar a gcomharsana go léir. Agus do cuireadh na briathra so go léir in iúl ar fud shléibhte Iúdéa go léir.
1:66	Agus iad siúd go léir a chuala é a stóráil suas ina chroí, ag rá: “Cad a bheidh an buachaill seo, dar leat??” Agus go deimhin, bhí lámh an Tiarna leis.
