Íseáia 49: 1- 6

49:1Tabhair aire, daoibh oileáin, agus éisteacht go dlúth, daoine i bhfad uait. Ghlaoigh an Tiarna orm ón mbroinn; ó bhroinn mo mháthar, tá sé ag cuimhneamh ar m'ainm.
49:2Agus tá mo bhéal ceaptha aige mar chlaíomh géar. Ar scáth a láimhe, chosain sé mé. Agus cheap sé mé mar shaighead toghaí. Ina chuisle, chuir sé i bhfolach mé.
49:3Agus tá sé ráite agam: “Is tú mo sheirbhíseach, Iosrael. Le haghaidh ionat, Déanfaidh mé glóir.”
49:4Agus dúirt mé: “Tá mé tar éis saothair a dhéanamh i dtreo na folamh. Chaith mé mo neart gan chuspóir agus go neamhbhalbh. Dá bhrí sin, is leis an Tiarna mo bhreithiúnas, agus is le mo Dhia mo chuid oibre.”
49:5Agus anois, a deir an Tiarna, a chruthaigh mé ón bhroinn mar sheirbhíseach aige, ionas go dtugaim Iacób ar ais chuige, óir ní chruinneofar Iosrael le chéile, ach tá mé glóire i súile an Tiarna agus is é mo Dhia mo neart,
49:6agus mar sin atá ráite aige: “Is beag an rud é go mbeifeá i do sheirbhíseach agamsa chun treibheanna Iacóib a thógáil suas, agus chun dríodair Iosrael a thiontú. Féach, Tá mé tar éis a thairiscint duit mar solas do na Gentiles, ionas go mbeidh tú i mo shlánú, go dtí na réigiúin is faide ar domhan.”

Eoin 13: 21- 33, 36- 38

13:21When Jesus had said these things, he was troubled in spirit. And he bore witness by saying: “Amen, amen, deirim libh, that one among you shall betray me.”
13:22Dá bhrí sin, the disciples looked around at one another, uncertain about whom he spoke.
13:23And leaning against the bosom of Jesus was one of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved.
13:24Dá bhrí sin, Simon Peter motioned to this one and said to him, “Who is it that he is speaking about?”
13:25Agus mar sin, leaning against the chest of Jesus, ar seisean leis, “A Thiarna, who is it?”
13:26D'fhreagair Íosa, “It is he to whom I shall extend the dipped bread.” And when he had dipped the bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon.
13:27And after the morsel, Satan entered into him. Agus a dubhairt Iósa ris, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
13:28Now none of those sitting at table knew why he had said this to him.
13:29For some were thinking that, because Judas held the purse, that Jesus had told him, “Buy those things which are needed by us for the feast day,” or that he might give something to the needy.
13:30Dá bhrí sin, having accepted the morsel, he went out immediately. And it was night.
13:31Ansin, when he had gone out, Dúirt Íosa: “Now the Son of man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
13:32If God has been glorified in him, then God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him without delay.
13:33Little sons, for a brief while, I am with you. You shall seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, ‘Cá bhfuilim ag dul, nach bhfuil tú in ann dul,’ so also I say to you now.
13:36Simon Peter said to him, “A Thiarna, where are you going?” Jesus responded: “Where I am going, you are not able to follow me now. But you shall follow afterward.”
13:37arsa Peadar leis: “Why am I unable to follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!”
13:38Jesus answered him: “You will lay down your life for me? Amen, amen, deirim libh, the rooster will not crow, until you deny me three times.”
