Íseáia 49: 1- 6
| 49:1 | Tabhair aire, daoibh oileáin, agus éisteacht go dlúth, daoine i bhfad uait. Ghlaoigh an Tiarna orm ón mbroinn; ó bhroinn mo mháthar, tá sé ag cuimhneamh ar m'ainm. |

| 49:6 | agus mar sin atá ráite aige: “Is beag an rud é go mbeifeá i do sheirbhíseach agamsa chun treibheanna Iacóib a thógáil suas, agus chun dríodair Iosrael a thiontú. Féach, Tá mé tar éis a thairiscint duit mar solas do na Gentiles, ionas go mbeidh tú i mo shlánú, go dtí na réigiúin is faide ar domhan.” |
Eoin 13: 21- 33, 36- 38
| 13:21 | When Jesus had said these things, he was troubled in spirit. And he bore witness by saying: “Amen, amen, deirim libh, that one among you shall betray me.” |
