The Second Book of Kings 2: 1, 6-14

2:9	È quand'elli avianu passatu, Elia disse à Eliseu, "Dumandate ciò chì vulete chì possu fà per voi, prima ch'e mi sia pigliatu da voi. È Eliseu disse, "Ti pregu, chì duie volte u vostru spiritu pò esse realizatu in mè ".

2:14	È battò l'acqui cù u mantellu d'Elia, chì era cascatu da ellu, è ùn eranu micca divisi. È disse, "Induve hè u Diu di Elia, ancu avà?» È chjappò l'acqui, è si sò spartuti quì è culà. È Eliseu passò.

Vangelu

U Santu Vangelu secondu Matteu 6: 1-6, 16-18

6:1		"Prestà attinzione, lest you perform your justice before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you shall not have a reward with your Father, quale hè in celu.
6:2		Dunque, when you give alms, do not choose to sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the towns, so that they may be honored by men. Amen vi dicu, they have received their reward.
6:3		But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
6:4		so that your almsgiving may be in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will repay you.
6:5		And when you pray, you should not be like the hypocrites, who love standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the streets to pray, so that they may be seen by men. Amen vi dicu, they have received their reward.
